How do I get around Bark VPN?
There are two main ways to access the app: Open the app, as long as you don't block the requests in your device's settings for VPN apps.
This includes: Android: Apps > Manage apps > Select the app > Tap on Permissions > Check the box next to the VPN permissions.
Using the app on your browser. To get around the security of your own computer, head on over to the app and look for a small green OpenVPN button at the top of the page. When the button appears, follow the instructions in the bottom right corner.
Does Bark have a VPN?
I'm going to answer this in the spirit of 'The Internet doesn't lie, but it sometimes distorts' - a fact I've experienced for many years now.
Bark is running on Google's servers (for example in your screenshot), but they have no special knowledge about where you are and can't intercept the content you're seeing. They could do so with a VPN, but in all likelihood they don't, and any traffic you see in a public place is subject to the laws of the country it's being viewed in (the laws of the country in which you are may be different).
Why is the Bark app bad?
I was a user for years, and the last thing I ever had to get was a problem ticket.
In that time, I got about 5 email notifications and 0 of them solved my problem. The email notifications are helpful because it sends me a notification when the ticket is updated but if I have to choose between getting a notification and a good solution, I'd much rather get a notification than a good solution.
Does this mean that in order to fix Bark I have to hire an engineer to write a small app? No, it means that the company needs to put more effort into their tech department. You can use Slack to notify the rest of your team when there are tickets open.
In my experience, the bigger companies that I've worked at have an engineering team that are just as big as our customer support team. The bigger companies have engineers that understand all the processes of the business well enough to be able to fix the process in Slack.
If you can't fix the problem using Slack, send it to the customer support team who will then manually fix it. It will cost you more money but you'll get a solution and you'll have less tickets open which is more important. For your company to scale, you need a ticketing system that can scale with you. If you have a small company, you probably have a few seats. If you have a lot of seats and your team needs to handle a lot of tickets, you should consider using Slack.
If you have over 100 employees and you don't use a ticketing system, you should consider using Slack. I hate using Ticketing systems because they don't fit how I work. Your job is to take care of the customer. Why does your job require you to use Ticketing systems? That's the other side of the coin. When the company buys their ticketing system, they usually buy a ticketing system that makes it easy to use, but they usually make it more complicated to use than their current tickets system.
My current ticketing system doesn't really work for me because it makes it harder to focus on the customer and I have more to do when I'm on the phone with the customer.
