It's possible it may, but I'd be wary of doing this as the same app is allowed a ton of memory and a ton of resources on android. If you are doing all this stuff to make your app behave a bit faster on a phone that's in your pocket most of the time then you probably don't have a problem. If you're writing a game that requires a lot of power the limit might get tested sooner than you expect.
