What is the downside of Bark app?

Does bark really work on iPhone?

I have been researching bark control for my area and have read all over the internet that a bark collar works the best.

I am looking at the bark collars that are sold on Amazon and they all say that they work, but I have never had a dog that barked before and I don't want to put one on my dog if it isn't going to help. Are there any other options? Is it possible to get a dog that is hyperactive and have it not bark?

What about a bark collar with a training harness for my dog? Does anyone have experience with this? You can have a dog that's not going to bark, and you can have a dog that does bark. There is no guarantee in the world that a dog who barks will stop. Some dogs will stop barking after a while of training, some won't. If you don't like the sound of barking, then get a dog who doesn't bark. If you don't like the sound of barking, get a different breed. A lot of people have trained a lab or husky to be a "no barker" and they do really well.

My dog doesn't bark often, but he was raised on a farm and he was one of the many farm dogs who are pretty bad at not barking. My husband's parents owned a large farm in upstate New York and they always had a dog or two on the farm who did a lot of barking, but never in our home. They would be outside barking and the windows would be rattling, but in our home they were always very well behaved. Our dog is a little better behaved than their dogs were.

But, as a parent, I do want my kids to know what it is like to live in a farm house. I want them to be able to see how their dog could be outside, barking at the windows, and how I would respond to it. I would call the farm, let them know that the dog is making too much noise and I want it shut up. And, when they asked why, I would tell them that I didn't like the sound of their dog barking and I wanted it to stop. They didn't really understand what I was trying to teach them, but they did know that I was right.

Can a child delete the Bark app?

We just got the Bark app and our dog is very attached to it, which is awesome!

Now I was wondering if we can delete the Bark app and make it so he has no "bark control"? Or is that a really bad idea? He's 6 months old. Thanks! The bark control feature of the bark app is a safety feature, allowing you to disable the bark control functionality so that your dog cannot accidentally trigger the bark or alert you that the dog wants to bark. It is possible that a dog who has the bark control feature disabled on his bark app may be able to detect or feel (think) that you have disabled the bark control feature, but he will still be able to notice and listen to other sounds, such as doorbells, bells, sirens, and other sounds from the outside world. Dogs do not have a voice that they can hear inside the home. They can hear and sense different things depending on where they are in the home. They can hear the sounds that are coming from outside as long as the home is connected to an open space, like a yard or driveway.

I would suggest that if your dog is already having issues with barking or you are experiencing a serious problem, that you consult your veterinarian about your options. One thing you can do is talk to your veterinarian and ask what steps you should take to help your dog stop barking and control his behavior. That way your veterinarian can better advise you on the best course of action for your pet.

So no, deleting the bark app from your dog will not affect his ability to sense or hear things from the outside. Thank you for the response. How can I disable the bark control feature in the app without deleting it? It's really hard to use because he's trying to work with it, not against it, since he knows there's no bark when it's set off.

Can I please say to all of you who are telling me to get the bark app off my dog's phone. Don't. I have no clue where this person is coming from, but it is clear that they have been talking with a lot of other people and I don't want the negative comments. I've never seen any behavior issues in my dog. He's very happy and healthy, he sleeps well and listens well.

An immoral act as mentioned in section 10 of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act, 2026. Distorted and indecent representation in the way the meaning of the same appears in sections 37 and 38 of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act, 2026 (Act No 42 of 2010).
