What is the default password for Asus RT ax3000?

What is the default password for Asus router after reset?

I had to reset my router.

It prompted me for a new password, I put it in and now it won't let me get on the internet. How do I change the default password? Is it root or admin or what?

If you don't know your login name, you'll need to run the firmware's web configuration tool (you can find this by going into setup on the router and pressing F5). In there, you'll be asked for a user name and password.

Once you're in, you'll need to create a password for your new account.

How do I reset my ASUS router password if I forgot it?

I can't get to the main page of my ASUS router after entering the admin password.

Try to reset the modem/router, usually there is a button on the back of the modem/router. When you press that button, it will ask you to enter your username and password. After entering them, it will restart. If it doesn't work, then I think there is a problem with the modem/router or the power supply, but if you still can access it by typing the URL, you can use the command line on Windows. You need to use telnet to connect to it (put the IP address in the host).

I could not find the network manager
vladmepelatine, you mean you do not see a wireless icon on top right? OerHeks, yes that's what I mean. vladmepelatine, nothing in top right corner >? oh maybe your network is disabled, try in terminal: sudo ifconfig wlan0 up. No, it's not disabled. It says it can't find the card. strange, the networkmanager does all the trick. OerHeks, where is it located? Where is the config file? no idea, maybe it was moved from gnome 2 to unity. maybe you can find it with ' dpkg -L network-manager'. vladmepelatine, oh, the gui is gone, no wonder you do not see it. maybe you can find something useful on askubuntu too, and how to add wireless

maybe you want to start networkmanager manually: sudo service network-manager start. OerHeks, I had it on the panel, then I uninstalled it, and now when I boot the machine is black until the login screen. OerHeks, that won't help. OerHeks, the config files are under /etc/networkmanager/, there is no config file that starts the NetworkManager.
