How do I stop Safari from opening the YouTube app?
I want to be able to switch from using Safari as a separate browser to being able to use the website I have just loaded.
Is there anyway to do this? When you load a website in Safari by going to 'open' and entering the URL it will automatically go to safari without you having to click anywhere on the menu bar or enter anything into the text box. To make a link in safari open like you would do any other file instead of 'Opening in.', 'File' then select 'Open With', Then click on 'Safari'. From there you can remove it again if you would like to. You may have to make sure that 'Allow File Handling and Plugins' is checked.
How do I open YouTube on Safari on my iPhone?
For those unfamiliar, it's just as easy as you would expect.
If you're connected to WiFi and you type the address into your iPhone's browser you should be able to go to YouTube from anywhere on the Internet.
Steps. 1
Launch Safari on your iPhone. 2
Add it to your home screen or shortcut to Safari.e. 3
Type "YouTube" into the search bar on the top of the page. 4
Once the correct tab appears, click on it. 5
Enjoy! You'll see the fullscreen app that allows you to find videos and subscribe to a user. At the bottom is a red icon which tells you can share your favourite video with other people.
1
Launch YouTube. 2
Tap "Your profile" on the upper right. 3
Select "Change profile". 4
Next tap "Profile" on the left. 5
Tap "Manage subscription". 6
Tap "My subscription". 7
Choose what type of content you want to subscribe to: If you wish to download videos to your iPhone you need to ensure that the feature is enabled. To do this open the "Manage your subscriptions" page by tapping on the menu in the right hand corner of the bottom section of the app. Tap "Profile Settings". You should now see the option to turn it on/off for each of your subscriptions.
8
Click on "Edit" on the upper right hand side. 9
Select "Manage" next to "Upload." 10
Open your Dropbox folder and select an empty file to upload. 11
Repeat step 10 for your iTunes library. 12
Check the boxes next to each device you have access to. 13
Check the box at the bottom labelled "Upload" to allow users of that device to download the file for themselves. 14
Save the changes you've made by clicking on "Save". 15
You should now be able to access the contents of the selected Dropbox file directly from your phone!
Why won't Safari let me access YouTube?
I have tried Safari and Firefox with the same result.
If I right-click on a YouTube link, it will let me add the video to the playlist, but if I try to visit it in the browser, it tells me that it's blocked. I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, and I've tried using the Firefox add-on NoScript. I have been unable to find a solution to this problem anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try adding an exception for youtube.com in your NoScript settings.
As a side note, do you have the option "Always allow from this website" checked? If not, and if you're using NoScript, check it so that you can block the script requests. This is what causes the problem for me.
If you get the same message, the video is blocked because of an active script that does not allow YouTube videos to be played. You can either deactivate that script or add a YouTube exception in NoScript.
I am confused. It tells me that the script is blocking it. I am the only one who uses NoScript, so that could be the problem. What do I do if I want to play the video anyway?
How do I open YouTube in browser instead of app?
I am new to Android.
I have just started.
I am trying to understand how YouTube app works. Is it browser or a mini app or a full browser? If it's browser, how do I open it in browser instead of app? Yes. To launch the YouTube app you need to specify in the Activity's intent filter.
