Why is my Samsung not giving me notifications?
Hi All.
I have Samsung Galaxy S3 and I'm not getting any notifications except for messages. Even when I'm connected to WIFI, it's not showing any notifications.
What could be the problem? I've turned off location/notifications permission and enabled them again. But it still doesn't work. What could be the problem?
After a lot of research, I found the solution to my question. For that purpose, I had to create a Broadcast Receiver in order to receive notifications from other applications.
This is the code: public class IncomingCallReceiver extends BroadcastReceiver. }
}
And then I had to add the following permission in the manifest file:
Filter.addAction("android.BOOTCOMPLETED");
RegisterReceiver(IncomingCallReceiver,filter);. Once this step was completed, I was able to receive the notification. Hope it helps others. Thank you!
How do I turn on turn on notifications?
When I first registered with you, I was told I had to turn on notifications.
I did and I am now receiving several notifications every day and I am finding it difficult to keep track of them all. Is there a way that I can set a level of notifications so that I only receive a few a week?
You're right. If you aren't getting a lot of responses from users in your community, then you don't need to be getting so many notifications a day. The notifications help with keeping your community organized and updated. They are not a way to get new members or visitors to your site.
Hi.e. No, you cannot set a "level" of notifications. The notifications come automatically and will remain until you turn them off. I know that this may not be what you want, but they are a part of your community.

How do I turn on screen notifications on my Samsung phone?
This may seem obvious but I can't find a how-to anywhere.
Is there a way to turn on or disable screen notifications on my Samsung Galaxy SIII? I have already tried: Settings > Accessibility > Notifications and turned off all notifications there and on the phone itself. Also, checked the "don't show this again" box. This doesn't seem to work. It seems to turn off but not turn on screen notifications.
The phone is currently in India but I assume a Google service will be available in US in the future too. So, does anyone know how to turn off screen notifications on the Samsung Galaxy SIII in the US, Canada or anywhere else for that matter? On the Galaxy SIII, you go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch Screen. Then select the 'Notification Settings' button at the bottom of the page. Choose 'Do not display alert or sound' and hit the Back button.
It may take a little while for your phone to apply the new setting. Just go to the touch-screen, it will turn off the vibration etc. (I don't know if that is the correct option).
How do I turn on notifications on a Samsung phone?
My husband and I have a new Samsung SGH-i851 cell phone.
My questions are, if someone calls or texts my number, will it be notified to me on this new phone? Can you tell me the code name for the call log? Thank you.
Answers. Hi
I am using a Samsung Galaxy 2 and I want to turn on the. Notification bell on my phone. How can I do this on my phone? I know the code for dialling 911. Can someone help me with a code for the bell or how to activate the
Thanks! On the left side, tap Menu, the settings icon then Settings, and scroll down to the top of the options list. Tap more, then the second option at the top of the list, and then "Display", and then the last option, "Vibrate". Tap the plus sign under "Sound". In the "Select Sound", type in Bell, select the "Bell", and then tap OK, and that's how you're done. ? I don't see a option to turn the notifications on? Is there anything else I can do to turn them on? Do I have to set up a new sound to play through my phone when someone calls? Also is there any way I can turn on the ringer without disturbing the whole house? I don't want to be bothered with any calls unless its someone I want to talk to. Hey! It's the same as turning off: Settings> Sound & Media > Vibrate > On. If you just want to stop the ringer and only let out the alerting sound when someone calls your number. I'd suggest trying to call them and ask them to disconnect their call so you don't get the constant ringer. Just be careful, some people won't know what you're talking about and may get frustrated with you. I have an SGH-U350. I'm on a GSM network and I'd like to know how I can turn on notification sounds on my phone. I would like to be alerted each time my contacts call me or receive text messages but I'd rather not wake up everyone in my house.
