How do I get my PIA VPN to work?
I've been using PIA VPN for over a year now, but it just won't work.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, because the instructions are spot on and I don't know why it isn't working. I have a desktop running Windows 7 and a laptop running Windows 8.
I've configured it to connect to a server in the Netherlands and I can see that the connection works fine. The connection is green and there's no connection/disconnection warning. The connection is persistent so I don't need to re-connect every time.
The issue is that when I try to browse, even using a browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox, I get the following message in the address bar: This website has requested to run JavaScript on your browser. As this website uses cookies, it cannot be used by screen readers. Please change your browser settings and then refresh this page.
In the Network & Internet window (accessible by right clicking on the PIA icon in the taskbar) I can see the following message: I have a static IP from my ISP so I don't need to enter a dynamic IP address. The PIA VPN connection is set to use my connection settings so I don't need to configure any options.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Re: ? It sounds like you've configured everything correctly. The only thing I can think of is to check your firewall settings. If the connection is working but you can't browse, this could mean your firewall is blocking the traffic.

Does PIA work on mobile?
I've got an HTML5 game coded on iOS that I'd like to port to Android.
I know there is a PhoneGap plugin for that, however is this a problem with PIA? Since it's just HTML & CSS and not an app. Is it worth it to create an app and convert my game instead of using PhoneGap? And will it require anything besides the pia-server running in the background?
Thanks. "All our products are the result of years of R&D and hundreds of engineers who work closely together. But I think it's fair to say that all of our success is due to our customer-based business model.
So.what other companies do you like?" - Eric Schmidt "A lot of people have done apps, but nobody has put it all together, really." - John D. Whitney
It's not a problem with PIIt's just that PhoneGap is an environment that you run in a Web browser and your HTML, CSS and JavaScript files reside inside of that web browser. This allows those files to interact as if they were being loaded into the Web browser directly. You don't have to "phonegap" them as most people think of having to do with phonegap.
There's nothing wrong with using PhoneGap unless you are developing for the purpose of selling your games via the Google Play store. In that case it might be a bit more hassle than you think.
PIA is like PhoneGap. Except PhoneGap is a web wrapper. PIA is a framework from the outside that makes PhoneGap easier to use for web apps in the form of an embedding API. I guess there are a lot of ways to approach it though, and it depends on your skill level and preferences.
One way to check if its worth it for you is to check out the demo on our website as you can see that we didn't have to do anything extra to get it working on Android -
