Why is my Samsung not showing notifications on lock screen?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and the default notification style is "Smart view".

When I get a call or message the icon appears on the lock screen but not when a notification comes in. Is there something that I need to do in the notification app in order for this to happen? If not, is there someplace that I can change this setting that's accessible from a stock settings application. The phone is rooted and I've had to flash it twice due to a system issue.

You would need a custom ROM like ROM Manager. From a stock firmware with no third party apps installed, you cannot modify this setting.

I've done a bit of searching but haven't found anything on this topic.

I'm running CyanogenMod 10 and I use the Samsung S22. I have notifications on the home screen, but I can't figure out how to get them to show on the lock screen when the phone is locked.

I'm looking for a way to do it through CM or maybe a way to hack it in with root. You can enable the lock screen notifications through the Settings app. Go to the Notification manager and press the Toggle Notifications button.

How do I make my lock screen notifications visible?

In a fresh install of Windows 10, you can not set lock screen notification in any way.

Open settings > Ease of access features > Lock screen settings. Go to the "Your apps" tab. Click on "Show lock screen notifications". There will be a small slider icon to either enable or disable notifications from your app. If you are already running Windows 10, there is no way to make lock screen notification. It is a new feature that Microsoft is working on.

If you are on Windows 8 or 8.1, the steps are: Open Settings > Accounts > Sign in to a service > Sign in to Cortana. Toggle Show notifications on the right pane. If you have multiple accounts, you will see this toggle for each account. You can also search Cortana to find more settings on Windows 10 and Cortana Settings.
