Why aren't my notifications popping up on my Lock screen on my Samsung?

Why aren't my notifications popping up on my Lock screen on my Samsung?

I have a Samsung S2 phone.

When I get a text message or an e-mail, I can't get it to pop up on the lock screen like other phones do.

Instead, they just show in my inbox, so I can always see them. The thing is, when my phone is on, I can see the text message and email on the home screen and my lock screen. Why don't the texts and emails just appear on the lock screen? Answer: It's not the phone's fault, but your carrier's. Most newer carriers are using VoLTE (Voice over LTE), which means that, at the very least, your service provider is probably using HPUE (Handover Progress User Experience). This means that, if your device is connected to a base station with the same SIM as the phone you are texting or e-mailing, it will continue to make and receive calls even when it is turned off. If you then turn your phone back on and there's a new message waiting for you, the carrier will hand off the call to the connected phone. If this happened at the same time as the text or email was sent, your message might show up on your phone, and you might even answer it. But, unless the phone is in your pocket or otherwise close to your ear, it's unlikely that the text or email would show on the lock screen, unless you were very careful and made sure to click "Reply" or "Send".

Some older carriers might use EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution). This is the most basic mobile phone service, and it requires less bandwidth than VoLTE.

If you were connected to a base station using EDGE, the phone could not receive the new messages while you were using it. They would have to wait until you turned the phone back on to be able to connect to a different base station.

This might explain why the text and email might appear in your inbox, but not on your lock screen, even when your phone is turned on. You can check what your carrier uses by going to. And clicking on "Settings".

How do I make my Lock screen notifications visible?

I have installed the Google Lock screen notifications for both Windows 8.

1 and Windows 10. I am able to view the Lock screen notifications in either the Action Center or the Quick Access Menu (shortcut to the right of the Windows key).

However, when I lock the computer, the notifications do not appear on my Lock screen. Do I need to set anything in order to make these notifications show up? I had the same issue, and I resolved it by following the instructions here: Right-click on the lock screen. Click "Screen Pinning". Here is the resulting Lock screen.

How to get notifications to show on Lock screen on Samsung S22?

I have an samsung galaxy s22 and I'm trying to use a "feature" where notifications show on the lock screen.

How do you get the "notification" to show on the lock screen? I've seen lots of articles that say to set "notifications" to "access quick settings". I did this and even after rebooting the phone it's still not showing. Please help!

Comments. The thing that confuses me is that when I open the app, I can see my notifications but when I lock the phone, I don't see my notifications. When I unlock, I do see them. But it's a bit annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can also try using the "Access Quick Settings" feature if you are still on Jelly Bean (4.1.2). The notifications should be showing up in there. They may just be on the edge of the screen because they are so small.

That's weird.I don't understand why they would work for one but not the other. I'm using the stock S22 launcher and if you're using Jelly Bean, go to the notifications panel and move it to the bottom, then it will work there too.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I have a rooted phone and that's not an option for me. That's why I tried a launcher that isn't stock, hoping that maybe the issue was with my phone.

I downloaded the new S22 update and had the same problem. I then tried the new "notification center" and that's where my notifications were, but they wouldn't show up on the lock screen. I can see them on the notification center just fine but they don't show up on the lock screen.

In the Notification settings, choose Access Quick Settings from the drop down menu. In the notification screen, toggle on Show on Lock screen. When you return to your home screen, the notification is still there, but will show up on the lock screen too.

Just wanted to make sure that worked. It's a nice feature that Samsung added to make notifications available on the lock screen.

I have the exact same issue, and I have the new S-22. It is not listed under Quick Settings.

Why isn't my notifications showing up on my Lock screen?

I'm running a fairly new install of 10.

It's the first time I've had this issue and I have no idea what is going on.

I set the notification settings in gconf-editor and when I hit restart, my lockscreen does not show me any pending notifications. I also checked to make sure the notifications were running.

Thanks for the quick response. I will give your solution a try. I wonder if its the fact that it is a fresh install and haven't yet made any adjustments. Could be why nothing has been working properly until now.

Yes, that's the point. They were all there. I ran gconf-editor and checked that they were on and then checked my lock screen. And there's nothing there.

My computer is a Gateway M-874 and I'm not the only person having this issue. All the other people I've talked to also have the same problem.

Is the gtk notifications daemon running? Check with: ps -ef You said you installed it 2 days ago. Did you upgrade from an earlier version of Ubuntu? Or did you do a fresh install? What happened prior to 10.

Thanks again for the help and I wish I could think of something useful to add to this post. I was running 10.04 up until last night when I tried upgrading to 10.10 from terminal. I don't remember if I had an older version installed before or not. If it was, it might be why I haven't experienced this issue before. It would be nice if the 10.10 upgrade would list all of my upgrades from terminal. I want to check to see if I updated all of my packages from 10.04 and if there were any other updates. I'll try and do that later.
