We've seen the likes of The Greatest Showman, Into the Woods and La Land dominating the cinemas. What better way to feel a little bit like the big top than by watching a story where a man, played by Hugh Jackman, discovers he has the ability to turn into a horse.

The Greatest Showman is full of amazing music and is a feel good film that will definitely put you in the mood for the Christmas season. It's an exciting, uplifting and beautiful movie.

Dunkirk. The first time I saw Dunkirk was back in 2023 when it had won Best Picture at the Oscars. I remember seeing it and thinking that it was quite possibly the greatest war film ever made. The film was directed by Christopher Nolan and the trailer has a lot of hype surrounding it. I've seen it a few more times since and it hasn't lost its charm.

Dunkirk is a great film that shows you the importance of small units working together. It gives you a sense of what life was like for those involved and how the British used their ingenuity to survive the German onslaught. It's a fantastic piece of war propaganda and a great watch.

The Post. The Post is a very interesting piece of cinema. It looks at the freedom of the press and the lengths the Washington Post was willing to go to get the news out there. It tells the story of the Washington Post, owned by Katharine Graham, who tried to print a story about the Watergate scandal.

If you're interested in the power of media, you'll enjoy The Post. It's a very interesting, fascinating and thought provoking film.

Kubo and the Two Strings. I wasn't expecting to see much in Kubo and the Two Strings. I watched the film with my friend and we both thought it was a bit rubbish. I hadn't realised until I read a review saying that it was the best animated film in years.

What films are coming to Amazon Prime January 2023?

Amazon's January line-up for its TV streaming service Prime Video will see the world premiere of the acclaimed thriller Dark, set to land on Amazon Prime on January 20, 2023.

Dark is directed by Joe Wright and co-written by James Mangold, based on a story by Wright and David S. Goyer, and follows a young woman (Amy Adams) who travels into the mountains to uncover a secret hidden by her abusive husband (Bruce Willis).

Other films in Amazon's January 2023 lineup include a documentary film, the world premiere of the documentary The Death and Life of Malcolm X, an adaptation of the French crime novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Amazon Original movies that include: A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, directed by Lulu Wang and starring Oscar-nominated actress Kate Bosworth; The Last Word, directed by Peter Bogdanovich and written by Bogdanovich and Robert Towne, and starring Will Ferrell; and The Report, written by Nick Schenk and directed by Joshua Michael Stern, and starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. Dark is the first film to be available on Amazon Prime as part of the service's new movie day, which follows movies released over the Christmas period. As a result, Amazon Prime is debuting Dark ahead of the rest of the line-up. However, it will join other titles from the same time period that Amazon plans to release on or after January 2023.

Alfonso Cuaron's third feature film after the two he directed for Pixar is a love letter to his childhood home, the Mexican city of Roma and the people who call it home. At its core, it's a biographical movie of sorts, though the director never tries to conceal the fact that his main character, Cleo, is a composite character based on his real mother. It's clear that Cuaron's love for his birthplace is palpable as he brings out all the history and pride of his hometown that would otherwise be hidden. We follow Cleo's story over the course of one day as she goes about the routine of her daily life, taking out the trash and going to school. But we also see it from her perspective as a tourist, visiting places like the park where she goes to buy her favorite ice cream and a neighborhood where she comes across a homeless woman that seems to embody the essence of life in the city.
