Why does it say I don t have permission to access on this server on Mac?

I am trying to access a shared server account. It says I don't have permission on this server. I've followed the directions, and used the instructions found here: The only difference is that the server is an Ubuntu server. When I go to properties, the permissions for the server are:

What permissions do I need for my Mac to access this computer? Thanks. If you look at the samba documentation it states that you must have permissions to share folder on a Linux server from any machine. Why is Safari not letting me access websites?

I am trying to access a site through Safari.e. The site works fine for the first 30 seconds or so, but then it starts to look like it is being blocked and it takes forever to load. I have checked the Network tab in the web inspector and the IP address is there - it also works fine when using Firefox.

Is there something I am missing that is required to access this website through Safari? You are accessing a website on a network that you don't have proper DNS records for. You can't just point your browser at a webpage and expect it to load properly if you are using anything other than a DNS server that has the relevant records.

If your device is connected to a switch then try pinging the target from your device. Ping 8.
