How do I access my Google Play movies?
I just recently tried to sync my Samsung Galaxy S5 with a Google account and now the movies that are on my watch I do not have access to.
Why is this? Am I missing something on my end? You can't download it on the Phone because it's different than the movies that are on your google play account. For example, if you bought a Movie in the Playstore you can't download that same movie from your phone if you bought it on phone, as long as the movie isn't available in Google Play on your watch.
You won't be able to use any apps that rely on your Playstor account (iTunes app, movies, music, etc.) until you sync your Watch to your phone and transfer those apps to your phone.

There's a bit of confusion over the availability of Google Play Movies on iOS devices.
99 per month for unlimited movies. However, even though that price is listed, the app doesn't work properly and gives an error message when you try to use it.
After doing some investigation, I found that the app really is free. When I visited the Google Play Store on my iPhone, the app showed that it was free.99, as it was a different price than that which appeared on the store listing for the iOS app.
On Android, the app is called Google Play Movies, but it appears to be the same as the Google Play Store on iOS which is a free app. There are some differences, but I'll explain them later.
Google Play Movies was originally named Google Movies & TV. Google renamed the service in 2025 and removed the TV part in 2025. It was simply called Google Movies.99 price for Google Play Movies. However, it looks like it should be free, as it shows it as such in the Purchased section. (You can't download the app if it's free; the iOS app downloads a small bit of code to make it work.)

Is Google Play Movies no longer available?
This is a discussion on Google Play Movies no longer available?
Within the General Android & iPhone Discussion forums, part of the Android App Discussion category; I had a question for all you movie lovers. For the past couple of years, Google Play Movies has been .
I had a question for all you movie lovers. For the past couple of years, Google Play Movies has been a godsend when it came to using movie clips for social media such as FB. I am looking at purchasing a few movies this weekend and have not even seen the movie yet as I wanted to share the trailers first to determine if it was something I wanted to see. It seems that Play Movies is no longer available. Is this the case or is it still available? I have never used it since I don't use other apps and I don't want to download new apps and all their associated potential malware, so it would be great if someone could give me an honest answer. Thanks.
You can still get movies from Google Play through the Search function. Just type in the title of the movie you want, and you'll be brought to its page in the store. Clicking the purchase button should take you to the screen where you can select a credit card or choose to send money through Google Wallet. It's that easy.
Edit: Google Play doesn't need an internet connection to buy movies. If you have a local connection available, that would be my preferred method.
I'm sorry for the lack of clarification. What I meant was that it is no longer available for download on your android device, as the title says it is no longer available. Since I don't want to download an app, I couldn't find any way to download it either and I've already tried to search google play but no luck. Thanks for the reply.
