Why can't I update my apps on Play Store?
I downloaded an app from Play Store recently, but I can't update it.
And I even cannot delete it.
This is the result when I try to delete the application: This is the error message shown when I try to delete the app. This has been going on for several days. Could anybody help me? Thank you in advance. I've figured out this issue now. When we open the Google Play Store App directly, there are two apps at the top: The App "Google Play Store" and the App "Play Store". They look exactly the same, but they're actually different apps. "Google Play Store" is the actual Google Play Store. "Play Store" is an unofficial shortcut or alias.
When we want to open the Google Play Store App, there's only one app which we'll see in the list. But when we want to update or delete some apps, it'll open the Apps "Play Store" and "Google Play Store". So it's normal if we can't update or delete some apps because we are opening the app named "Apps" instead of the App "Google Play Store".
I still don't know why it happened in the first place, but I solved this issue by changing to another phone. I don't know whether this bug has been released by Google and its going to be fixed soon or not, but as long as it's a bug, this answer is right.
