How do I update my Google Play Store?

Why my Play Store is not working?

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 on a laptop (Intel HD 4000 graphics).

My Play Store has stopped working and it keeps returning a "Connection Failed" error. I have no problem with other apps, just Play Store.

I have tried to reset my Android settings and even reinstall but no luck. If the network connection appears to be fine but you're still getting that error, it's a good idea to use the ADB command line tool. For example, the same commands as above will work for an HTC device like this: adb -s 6554:4e076a40f0300 -P com.htc.phone.sport 5555:1db5d9b9f7c00
And for a Motorola Droid: adb -s 7555:6c00ffa1b6200 -P com.droid 6556:1db5d9b9f7c00 Once you've connected your device and run adb devices, you can try to reinstall the Play Store again. If you're still having issues, perhaps add the lines below to /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules and reboot.

Why is my Play Store not downloading apps?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 with Android 2.3.6 installed.

When I try to download an app from the Play Store it hangs. Sometimes it loads but does not download and just sits there with the spinning wheel for hours. The play store says it is downloading apps, but I am not able to confirm that. When I restart the tablet, it just sits there with a spinning wheel like before. If I force quit the tablet and restart, it downloads normally.

I have tried re-booting, re-installing Android, and uninstalling my Google Apps (all of them), but that does not fix it. I am not able to use my tablet at all until the apps are downloaded. I am using WiFi and do not have any data on my cell phone.

Any ideas? The problem was the WiFi was too slow. When I changed my WiFi to one of the other available networks, the Play Store started downloading the apps.
