Why isn t NordVPN working on iPhone?

Since the inception of the iPhone, we ve seen countless VPN services come and go in the marketplace. In many cases, these services simply do not work on the iPhone (and in some cases, other devices). It seems that the iPhone s VPN software providers are being quite selective with their product offerings. Why is this? It s because these companies are not willing to pay the full price of Apple s App Store approval process.
I recently came across a couple of service providers that claim to have iPhone VPNs. To prove they are legitimate and not just a ploy to obtain our data, I set out to see how their service works on the iPhone. As it turns out, the services I tested are both VPNs, but they have different strengths.
So here are my findings: First, let me tell you what the different types of VPN services are. The Personal VPN. This is a simple VPN for the consumer. This is something you would use to hide your identity when you surf the Internet. You would typically use this service in a coffee shop, airport, hotel, or other public place. Your IP address would be masked, which is where your true IP address would change to one that is based on the location you are using. You would probably use the same IP address for multiple locations, thus creating a unique identity for each location. The downside of this type of service is that it is extremely limited in that you only have one mask to use for all of your locations.
The Location Based VPN. This is a VPN that masks your IP address based on the geographic location you are using. This allows you to surf the Web in different countries without your IP address changing. Typically, you would use this type of service when you are traveling in another country.
Does NordVPN have obfuscated servers?
NordVPN is popular as the best VPN service.
Do you know what makes NordVPN great? I'm using NordVPN and I want to check if NordVPN has obfuscated servers. After reading NordVPN's review, I'm a little concerned about its server names. From their review, they don't do obfuscation. This is where they say:
They say that all data is encrypted at the server level. Then what are you worried about if they don't have obfuscation on servers? Please help me figure this out. Thanks.
First of all let me answer your question: No they don't have obfuscated servers. I checked them twice to be sure. The only thing that they might do, is put the IP address of the server, in the server list so you don't know where it exactly lives.
Now to answer your question more completely; Let's assume that someone hacks your computer, steals all your data (including the IP addresses) and then buys a new VPN account. Now even if they bought a free account from NordVPN (the free accounts are easy to get), then they have no way of knowing which IP address is tied to your account, since they didn't steal the details from your current VPN account.
So if your data (in this case IP addresses) were stolen, then your NordVPN data will also be stolen. To use a better example: Take a look at all the banking passwords/pin numbers posted online by all banks, all credit card numbers and all account numbers. Do you think a thief would go through trouble stealing every single one of them? No, right? Because most thieves are going to be lazy. They won't even try stealing all of your information when they have access to a bunch of information, they'll just pick whatever was convenient at the time. You can't count on something like obfuscation to keep you safe, because if someone hacks you anyway, they'll likely get a bunch of information, but you won't know which one they got!
And even if your data was stolen, a bad person won't need the exact server names, they'll just be able to know the general type of VPN, based on what they know about you, and so they'll likely go back to the most convenient server.
