With this one they're almost halfway there in addressing questions of what they do actually do, but then they go and mention this: Does NordVPN provide reliable network speed? Our technology makes sure that no data is lost from the server and all the encrypted connections remain on. This one just sounds like a flat out lie. If it's true, they have failed to tell us about it. Which is an interesting contradiction in their marketing materials: You trust them with your private information, but if you get even a minor speed bump they'll just laugh all the way to the bank. And don't kid yourselves, unless something terrible happens (a major security issue, like some of the VPN apps) they'll probably get away with it. Unless they were forced to by legislation like the GDPR they wouldn't have been forced to inform their user base of the speed drop. I wouldn't buy such shoddy privacy practices.

If you're looking for a decent VPN, you should definitely look no further than NordVPN. The company has its drawbacks, sure. Their support desk isn't particularly helpful and their customer service doesn't seem to be all that forthcoming in helping the customer out. If you need a replacement for a paid service, then they're probably a pretty good candidate. If you're just in need of some extra privacy for a bit, then just stick with ProtonVPN or Mullvad as good alternatives.
