How do I update my Comodo Antivirus?
Comodo Antivirus updates regularly for some reason.
If you find that a new version is available you can simply open the Update tab of your Antivirus client and click on 'Check for Updates' which will then download the latest version and install it. But sometimes you need to do a manual update instead.
If you have an online license for Comodo Antivirus then this is the option you want, but if you only have the offline (CD) version then you will need to locate the installer and run it manually. You will need the same version number in the installer as your already installed version of Comodo Antivirus. Updating can also be tricky as version numbers often get out of date and some users need to update on certain computers at different times. How to Update: In order to manually update your Antivirus you will need a few simple things: A CD with your antivirus (if you are using the offline CD). The latest installer of your antivirus (available in this post). Once you have these two things, and your antivirus is running properly, it's as simple as starting your antivirus, opening the update tab, clicking on Check for Updates and then click on the green arrow on the right of the update panel to start the installation of the update. If you need a manual installation CD please see the previous post: How to Create Comodo Offline Installers: To make a Comodo offline installer please follow the instructions below. Open the Comodo offline installer.exe from the Comodo antivirus installation directory where your Comodo antivirus is installed. If the installation directory does not exist yet you will need to make it.
On the Comodo antivirus offline installer click on Update, when you click on it this will show the installation options for the Comodo antivirus. This includes how you want the Comodo offline installer to function when it runs (remember you don't have internet access). You can set Comodo offline installer to be run automatically when Windows starts up, when you log in, when you shut down and any combination you like.

Is Comodo Internet Security still free?
I think you still have to call their helpline if you think you need support for internet security
I think you still have to call their helpline if you think you need support for internet security. I am currently downloading and testing Comodo Internet Security 2015-2016. I am using it alongside Spybot and AdwCleaner. I have downloaded the ISO files of the internet security, but would not be able to tell whether or not I am using the free version. I was hoping that once installed, I could use the internet security tools and features that I have been using for years.
I was also interested in knowing if Internet Security was free as I had noticed when I made the purchase, my download included Internet Security (along with a number of other tools). I think I purchased a year ago, but just re-downloaded it so I can look at the trial period if I think it's still free. I never get through to anyone on the phone as it's always the same message. "This is Comodo, no one is available at this time".
If you are trying to contact me and you are a legit forum user who has a real, live conversation going on and someone tries to scam you, please report it. So you get your money back
No I was not trying to scam anyone. It appears that if you purchase the software and do not call their number that you will be charged.
I purchased the software and paid for it when I called them up after downloading it. However, I think it does not work as well as it used to.
I have tried it, and for some reason it did not like my system. It appeared that it was either infected with malware or it was not doing its job properly and was not deleting the viruses.
So I uninstalled Comodo and went back to Malwarebytes and Spybot. I have used these programs for many years and the internet security software just does not seem to be as good.
I really think that Comodo was free before, but I was not sure and was concerned.
