How do I Find My Apple ID with my phone number?

I have an iPhone 6s and would like to find my Apple ID. I tried using the Find My iPhone feature but I can't seem to get it to work. I called Apple Care and they told me that I can't find my Apple ID because it is not connected to my iCloud account. Can anyone help me?
