Can I have 2 Apple IDs?
I have one email account, and I want to have two Apple ID's. Can I do that? Yes, you can add another Apple ID. There is no need to merge them. You can log into any of your accounts at any time from the Settings app.
To add a new Apple ID, open the Settings app and tap on the Accounts button. Tap Add Account, and choose Apple ID.
If you already have multiple accounts on your device, you will be asked if you want to merge them. This can be found in the Accounts tab.
In addition, when you try to sign into an Apple ID, you will get the option to choose from which account you want to log in.
Can I create a new Apple ID?
Your Apple ID is required to access many iCloud services. It can be changed on your iTunes, App Store, and Mac App Store accounts.
If you need to create a new Apple ID or update your existing one, sign in to iCloud.com with the same Apple ID you used to create your iCloud account. Then follow the instructions to verify the email address associated with that Apple ID, log in to the Mac App Store, and confirm your payment information, and you'll be on your way to creating a new account.
Update your Apple ID. You can use the same email address to sign in to iCloud.com as well as the Mac App Store, iTunes, and the App Store on the Mac App Store. Your Apple ID also works on the website for some iCloud features, such as buying music or movies from iTunes Match, or getting and using your iCloud Photos. So if you already have an iCloud account and want to update it, you'll use the same email address.
You can also add a new email address to your Apple ID. This means you can have different iCloud email addresses for different services and keep them separate. For example, you could use one email address for iCloud.com, and another email address for the Mac App Store.
Sign in to iCloud.com with the Apple ID you want to update, and then click Account > General > Sign Out.
If you're signed in to iCloud.com and you've set up your payment details, you can click Submit to complete your sign-up process. Otherwise, you'll be asked to verify your email address, fill out your payment details, and click Confirm in order to activate your iCloud account.
It takes up to five business days for your Apple ID to become available. In the meantime, you can sign in to iCloud.com with your current Apple ID, and you'll see an option for changing your Apple ID. Click Change Apple ID and sign in with the new Apple ID to update it.
Will creating a new Apple ID delete everything?
From time to time, users can get a new Apple ID or their username changes. If this happens, will you lose all your data? Not necessarily. All content will be available from the previous Apple ID, along with your old apps and games that are still linked to your previous Apple ID. Your new apps will be linked to the new Apple ID, and you'll need to download them again if you switch back to using your previous Apple ID. You won't lose any content, photos or other files stored on your device.
When does it happen? Apple releases a system-wide update every two weeks and each update includes a change to the Apple ID that's associated with your device. When this happens, your Apple ID and Apple Developer Account are temporarily deactivated, and you can't use iCloud until this change has completed.
When do they roll out the update? Apple releases new system-wide updates every two weeks and each update includes a change to the Apple ID that's associated with your device. Is it safe to switch Apple IDs? It's safe and recommended. If you were already in the middle of a software installation, for example, and you've switched Apple IDs, you may need to repeat the installation process. This is usually due to the fact that the iCloud backup for your device doesn't contain the new Apple ID for your device.
If you decide to use your device's iTunes store and iCloud accounts interchangeably, you'll need to sign into the account that you want to use to buy apps, music and books, but you won't need to go through the process of registering the devices you own. When Apple updates your Apple ID or username, it doesn't erase everything. Any items that were in iCloud, such as calendars or photos, can be restored. If you weren't in the middle of an installation, you may want to use the Restore Purchases option to see if there are any items that are missing.
When will my Apple ID and account be active again? Apple makes every effort to deactivate the Apple ID and Apple Developer Account for two weeks, and restore them to working order as quickly as possible.
