I am a huge Thor fan and I hope that Marvel recast him! I will probably miss him if they cast a new actor. I am happy with Cate and Tilda but the world needs Thor to be recast! My first thought was that the new Asgard has been destroyed. So it would be very realistic that they couldn't find someone for the role.
Is New Asgard part of Norway?
When I saw that a few of my friends had seen the previews for Disney's New Asgard release last year, I wondered if I should have kept watching.
I felt some slight jealousy. The trailer's premise had me intrigued: it was about Thor? It had great footage and really looked cool. But I knew I was in the minority for my reaction; others around me reacted like they'd just seen their own child die. The final product was an experience far removed from how they experienced it. The most I can hope for is that they like what they got.
For me, though, I wonder if New Asgard will ever come to feel like my ownif I'll continue to think of it when I look up at the sky and see an Asgardian realm. I wonder if any realm on Earth can call its home a reality, whether we'll allow a fantasy, or our own, to take root here. If so, the first season of the show feels like a kind of birth; if not, it's deathnot simply because it fails to come to pass, but because it represents failure to fully grasp the concept of home.
You don't want it to hurt; this will be a heart attack. A little backstory is necessary here. Before the fall of Asgard, and before Thor arrived to Earth, Thor: Ragnarok is set after Ragnarok, the war between the Asgardians and the Dark Elves. But, before that battle, before the war itself, we travel back to a time where both the Norse and elves were all-powerful. This past spring, Joss Whedon released his first post-Marvel movie, and called it Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. For anyone not in the know, Dr. Horrible is a musical superhero who lives in isolation of an abandoned theater in a seedy part of town. His only friends are Felicia Day, Matt Bomer and Neil Patrick Harris, each a member of a popular podcast.
On the night he returns to save his universe, his heart bursts, and he must be saved. Or do we say he must live so that his death may be eternal? Or, maybe, he survives, but loses his heart. You want him to not become a heartless cyborg. You want him to become something more than an ex-superhero with a side business of performing improvised theater.
How many Asgardians live in New Asgard?
(Season 1, Episode 8)
After consulting with the show's producers, we've found that there's not a great deal of information to go on. However, we know that the Asgardians were originally spread out across the globe, but in the first episode of season 2 it is mentioned that Odin sent Thor to live in New Asgard. Odin: It's time you came home. Thor: Home? Odin: The new Asgard. And later in the same episode, when talking to Sif and Hogni, Thor confirms that he is indeed in New Asgard, saying: Thor: This is the new Asgard. Sif: I have to say, this is a whole new Asgard. In general, the episode doesn't specify where exactly New Asgard is, but it would seem to be the planet New Asgard, since it's very clearly marked in the opening credits.
Where is New Asgard in Thor?
We asked that exact question after last week's episode.
Well, we were about to find out
The answer is at the end of Season 4 - which may or may not be a spoiler depending on what you think and read. When Odin first discovers how weak Skurr is, Thor demands to know where New Asgard is. To which Odin explains that it's 'under siege'.
In Thor: The Dark World, New Asgard is revealed as being hidden underground at The Cube. In Guardians of the Galaxy, New Asgard, along with other planets, is part of the Marvel Universe. New Asgard has been destroyed by the Chitauri and the Guardians then land on Asgard, bringing the Avengers team there. In Thor (film), Thanos also destroys New Asgard. And at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, after Thanos' snap, the Avengers destroy his planet.
A lot of the time for the film titles they just give hints as to the setting but if you've heard them once and want to go back to get a reference, you can usually find it in the next episode. Anyway, here's how everyone died at the end of Last of the Time Lords. Enjoy! The Doctor - He dies after becoming enraged at the fact he's going to die alone. It doesn't make much sense at the time because the Cybermen have taken control of Missy but later we see her take control of his body for what seems like quite a long time. I'm assuming she's going to regenerate from him eventually because that's a weird thing that she's doing and makes no sense.
The Doctor in Asylum of the Daleks is a different character, his face gets chopped off after he and Jamie discover the Dalek plan to release gas on the city. So he's in a pretty good spot.
The Doctor in Resurrection of the Daleks is just in Dalek Land having some adventures until he comes across the Kaleds who are about to blow up themselves and the Daleks. The Tenth Doctor in Revelation of the Daleks is trapped in Dalek Land and forced to fight and defeat all three Dalek Supreme Commanders. I think I know what I'll take when they make season 10 of Doctor Who.
