There used to be a channel guide on the main DTV STREAM page, where you could scroll and select channels.

The pages has been removed (from the front page as well). How can I get back the channel guide? or can someone provide me with a list of all channels in English with their available options for cable?

There used to be an on-screen channel guide, but it would only show up when TV programming was being watched. The Guide data will automatically be downloaded to your Roku, iPhone, iPad or other compatible smart TV, TV box or smart device, and is viewable any time it is updated, whether you are actively watching TV, recording a show or browsing your favorite channels. If your smart TV includes built-in DVR, the Guide data is automatically downloaded and is available on all screens that you record TV on, or from the Guide on TVs without the feature.

If your set-top box (Roku or TiVo) has a HDMI port, it also connects to any compatible TV via a video cable and delivers Guide data to the TV. It will receive it without connecting a TV or having your viewing screen active, so no one has to press OK when they first turn on their new TV.

The Apple TV and Fire TV are both devices that you can connect to your TV through a HDMI connection and enjoy TV Guide data from any networked source, including Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Comcast On Demand, YouTube, WatchESPN or Vudu. You can also receive TV Guide data over Ethernet from either of these two platforms. The Guide is available through an app and/or using voice-based commands. What channels does DIRECTV STREAM not have?

I've been reading up on different channels and services that may be available to us in the new STREAM and that there are some missing, for instance, the CINEMA BEHIND THE LINES channel and even that has been discontinued and replaced by HUSTLER TV.

Even worse there is no DIRECTV service in my area and it appears to have been replaced by a satellite service (which we don't need). Has anyone else been looking at other channels available and what they look like? I'm assuming they look better than the standard fare? Or will it be like cable where the service and programming will never be worth the aggravation to keep with it? Maybe some of the big time channel packages will have a package for smaller cities that is comparable to the standard cable channels? Does someone from Canada or Mexico have any comment on this? DIRECTV does have all the main sports channels, and one local TV station. (not sure if the local channel can be turned on through Cablevision) . It also includes some more channels like ESPN2 and FSN West - the Sports. Network. They are not in HD or S. As long as you are only receiving 1 or 2
Channels - this is fine.99 a month upwards. As to whether this is worth the bother, it's your decision to make. Are you a sports fan or not? Do you have kids who might be interested in. Watching, or who should be able to watch some of these channels later on. If you like the way they turn out. There was a lot of stuff that I thought I might enjoy that had only made. It to that level once on cable.
