How do I get rid of administrator block on my Chromebook?

How do you reset a Chromebook when it is locked by administrator?

I cannot log into my Chromebook as it is stuck in a login loop: Password incorrect.

I have tried all the "recovery" tricks I can find on Google such as clearing out cookies/ cache, changing language, and setting it up again (eg, using "Setup Assistant").

Re: ? The answer to your question depends on whether or not you have a recovery partition for the device. If the device has no recovery partition, this will not be possible. But you might still be able to get a second administrator to take over that account.

First, if you have a recovery partition, log into the secondary Chromebook as an administrative user. After doing that, do this: Select Advanced from the power options and click the Reset button. Select Settings from the power options and click the Reset button. Select Refresh from the power options and click the Reset button. If this doesn't work, try rebooting your device while holding down the Ctrl key on the power key. Or, you might be able to use a 3rd-party app that is designed for unlocking such devices as a way to bypass the password issue.

But if that happens, the 2nd admin will never regain control over that account unless someone removes the other admin from that account. If you go that route, remember that a single admin will still be able to view everything the other admin did -- unless you are using Google Drive for collaborative editing. There is no way to prevent that if a single admin is compromised. (But of course, using the 2nd admin's account isn't much better than using the first one.)
That should hopefully work, but if it doesn't try restarting the Chromebook until the screen turns on again. Then reboot the administrator user and try this guide again.
