How to delete 3DS parental controls?

Can anybody tell me how to remove or delete 3DS parental controls?

I am trying to find a way to delete the parental controls on my 3DS. I have already tried uninstalling the game and trying to delete the parental controls, but it still doesn't work.

While they are not hard to delete if you know how to modify your .3ds file (which you probably don't) it is very easy to do so after installing the "Uninstall" application from Nintendo eShop.

As soon as you have installed it, open the application. It will ask you to connect your device to the computer, just do so and press start.

After a short while it will show the contents of the device. You should see two entries with the names Parental Controls and 3DS System Settings in the Device section.

Right click on the 3DS System Settings entry and select Uninstall. If you try to delete the Parental Controls entry you'll be asked to replace it with a valid entry which does not exist. You can do so by just pressing the back button.

How do I turn off parental controls without a password?

Bypassing a password by setting an incorrect password?

Bypassing parental controls using different passwords for different categories of internet content on a particular day. If your family are subject to such controls then you will have experienced many, many frustrating attempts to bypass them, using a number of different tricks, many of which are quite simple. However, once this has happened and you want to bypass the controls then it is far, far more difficult. We shall discuss the methods you can use to attempt to get around these pesky controls at a high level. However, if you simply want to know which of your family members are the worst offenders and whether they have changed from the previous day then you need to get down into the nitty gritty details of how this works. We shall cover the various ways you can do this at a high level here, so that you can identify which of your children are most annoying when trying to use computers in their own homes. You might be wondering what makes a child annoying - and it is rather easy to make a small change and find out.

How long should we expect to need to try each trick? Each time a user tries one of these methods of bypassing their controls, their control will change with a different set of rules. Most families have had a set of rules last for a few months at the beginning, with more added to cover newly discovered issues. Usually the best way to deal with this is to start with the simplest way of bypassing and then move onto using more and more of the options available. In other words, if you want to bypass your kid's controls, then you start by installing the most basic option for a set of rules, and then work your way through to getting past more complicated ones. So, if you are using a PC, it would be helpful to think about how to install parental controls onto a computer and try some of these methods, before you move on. This will make it easier to identify what sort of security settings are currently in place, and whether any methods will work with the existing rules.

I am having difficulties by installing my own software. This is why the whole thing needs to be done in a very careful way so that any unwanted settings can be identified and removed.

How do I reset parental controls on 3DS without PIN?

This is a follow up question for a friend of mine who recently got the 3DS.

Before we could play games I am having him re-parental control which worked before but now that its on I cannot get it to work for a reason or another, no matter what method of doing it and no matter if we use different controllers to set it up or not. So do you know any way to reset it without the use of the 3DS software and with no more use of the pin after it works once?

Please help! I am very desperate to make this happen again but nothing I do seems to work. Answer:? There's only a few ways I can think of, and as you've found there are limits to each one. You could try erasing the DSiWare applications/data first so they're reinstalled at factory defaults, and re-parental control. However if your friend didn't use to download games when you gave him the DSi for the first time then things can be set up a bit differently, which will be tricky to find a solution for, unless they didn't use DSi.

If you had the DSi Lite or some other Wi-Fi based device then it's easiest to just set it all up again from scratch in the parental controls menu, it will go to their profile at the "main" screen rather than a home screen so you just have to select the desired options by pressing A and then B like you would after first-time setup. You'd need to make sure to not enable Wi-Fi or online gameplay though if it's not enabled already.

If the friend already owned a memory card for saving their old saved games they will still have those. If they had an SD card of any kind it will be possible to read data off it with apps like SisManager or similar that do this. Alternatively if you're in the US or similar places you could borrow their PC to set it all up from scratch that way. There would be a small fee for this though so it's a big headache if you don't already have it. It is possible with some hacks of course though but I don't know what problems this could cause (I never tried). In short I'd say you should just try getting them to set it up again from scratch.
