We had several people who would like to block phone numbers when they're on vacation or in another country.

If not, do you know of any other methods for blocking unwanted calls and text messages? I had the same issue back in '07. I was travelling abroad and wanted to avoid having to cancel my cell contract due to overages. I wanted to block calls from certain numbers without having to go into my SIM card settings every time. The only way to do it is the voicemail message, but it's very basic, and I don't really like having to use their voicemail service. But, if you travel internationally, I'd be tempted to just get a plan that will let you pay extra for inbound calls and texts, and outbound calls and texts to the US, and keep those costs under control. It seems to me that's the most flexible option, though it depends how much data usage you're getting from your phone and whether or not you end up using any of the US texting sites.

I can block text messages, and even block them outright with the carrier. As far as blocked texts, when I am away from the country, the carrier has the ability to block them in the US. Here's how.
