Is Camila an Italian name?

This is a discussion on Camila an Italian name?

Within the Saint Lucia forums, part of the Caribbean category; Camila means beautiful in Spanish and is also an Italian name. Do you have any Italian friends or family that use this name? I would like to . I would like to know if it is popular in Italy, and if so, where. Also, do Italians use Camila in the feminine? Thanks for any input.

Annette has been one of my favorite names since I was a little girl, and I was surprised to learn that her name is actually from Mexico, and has no connection to Italy. I am also delighted that my mother-in-law's name is Annette. I do not think that Italians often use the name Annette.

For Camila, I would say that if you are seeking out children of Italian heritage, I would look at using Camilla, which is also a very beautiful name. The etymology of Camilla comes from the Roman Goddess of war, named after her father, the god Camus. It is also an Italian and Spanish name.

If you are looking for someone who speaks Italian, I would recommend Alessandra as a more Italian sounding name. The first syllable is the same as Camila and sounds just like it. If you were searching for a child with a southern Italian accent, Alessandra would be ideal.

I never heard of this name before. It sounds like a Latin American name to me. It might have come from the Aztec name for their queens. It is hard to say what it would be pronounced. I do not think that Italian women would use this name.

What is the Italian version of Camille?

I've seen a movie called "Camille", with Catherine Deneuve, but I don't know if it's the same as the one you mention. It was released in Italy under the title "Camille". I'm not sure if that's the name of the original French movie (which has been released in the US as "Camille") or if it's the name of the Italian translation.

I'm looking for the Italian version of "Camille" but I can't find it. Re: What is the Italian version of Camille? If you google Camille it should pop up on the first page. I have seen the film and if you don't know what the first one is it's probably the second. I don't see why anyone would consider the US Camille a remake of the French. I also don't think that American producers would be interested in remaking the French film if it didn't have any similarities to the original. They wouldn't know how to make it different enough to avoid copyright infringement without changing the plot. I am not an attorney and I can only speculate about the details of the rights. I doubt they would make much money from it anyway. There is enough money being made off the existing Camille films and series.

I saw it in the 1990's. It was quite good. Unfortunately, I forgot the title of the film. The original Camille had a similar plot, but it wasn't made in France. It was made in Italy. I'm sorry I can't be more help than that.
