How to add NordVPN extension to Opera?

You can download Opera with NordVPN extension.

This is an extension and does not require installation, you simply need to download it from the Opera store. You can install it in two ways: by downloading an archive and then clicking on it and follow instructions or by simply adding the NordVPN URL into Opera and clicking Add.

Using NordVPN from Opera. To add the VPN extension, open Opera and click on the three lines button (three dots) on the top-right corner of the browser and choose Customize and select from the list of extensions. Then click on the extension to add it and then you will see the popup menu that you can use to add or remove extensions. Once added, you will see a new tab named NordVPN. If you click on this tab you will see the NordVPN settings.

To create a new connection click on the plus icon and create a new one. If you don't want to set a specific location you can simply click on Select Automatically option and specify the server of your choice.

How to add VPN extension in Opera?

However, this version of the extension doesn't offer more features than the original version does, and that means Opera is forced to disable ads automatically, making a bit of a mess of the browsing experience.

I've been playing with a few different options for getting the same great extension with better add ons to work in Opera. What are the features of Opera VPN? An online service using encrypted connections that offers secure browsing over the internet from a location of your choice. When you connect using the VPN extension, all data that passes through the encrypted connection will be routed to the servers under your account. You will only be connected to websites/servers that fall into your whitelist.

You also have access to a feature called private mode that will make use of a secure tunnel you create. This allows you to set up a secure tunnel that will force all traffic to go through Opera's servers which will increase security and speed when you are on Wi-Fi networks as well as a mobile connection.

Another feature of Opera VPN is its app. Called OperaVPN, it makes use of a web browser. This not only provides faster connection speeds, but it allows you to use your own DNS and prevent spying by advertising agencies which we discuss later in more details.

If you have the right configuration installed, and don't have your mobile device configured to use a CDMA connection, you should experience faster browsing speeds on Wi-Fi networks than Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
