What is the code 9875 on Netflix?
This week, Netflix has been running a promotion called Code 9875, where new members could redeem code 9875 to get 30 days for free, free premium streaming (on their devices and TV) and the ability to watch on up to four screens simultaneously. If you were one of those new members who got the code, here are a few tips how to maximize your experience.
Redeeming Code 9875 is easy. All you need is the code - on your mobile phone or tablet. You can also use your smartphone, as long as it supports 4K streaming.
The code expires after three months (you can check your expiration date here), so don't wait till the last day, because you can only redeem the code a few times. A better way to redeem code 9875 is to download the Netflix app on your Android or iOS phone. It is much easier to swipe right or click the icon. The only thing that would be annoying is that you have to set your device as an optional payment method first.
When the 30 days are over, you cannot use code 9875 again. Still, the good news is that after using the code, the limit on your free premium streaming stays at 4K. For the rest of the free 3 months, there is no limit on your streaming. However, if you try to watch the same movies or shows from any device at the same time, the system will ask you to use the 4K limit on your streaming.
In the first week, the Code 9875 promotion had many technical glitches. When you tried to add the code to your account, Netflix said that the promotion code was invalid and you needed to wait a few hours. Also, when trying to play a movie from a list in Netflix app, you were asked to enter your password. It took me a few hours to figure out what happened.
If you redeemed the code, the promo doesn't end on your birthday, but it ends at the end of the year. By redeeming the code, your billing cycle changes to Jan-Dec from Dec-Dec. This means that December, July and August are the only months without the code.
I hope this information is helpful to those who may want to use the code 9875.
How do you enter a Netflix code?
Do you get points for free or do you just need more money?
By Richard Horan. Updated: 7 Oct, 2026. A bit of trivia about the Netflix Prize. It has been an open-source challenge for people to develop algorithms that can predict the next item in a Netflix streaming service queue correctly at least eighty per cent of the time. In 1999, Netflix entered in this "Netflix Prize" and a bunch of people came forward with solutions. The problem: how many codes can you guess correctly? A standard practice is to use one code for each month or quarter that you subscribe and then you can use the results to upgrade your subscription. Here's where things get murky.
So, what does it mean to give away codes or to "give" someone one?95 and buying them credit. You would have to do this manually for each of your thousands of customers. ?
How many codes are there? To answer this question we have to ask ourselves a different question. How many codes do you need to have ready for when someone buys their first month's subscription? That would be a lot of work! I'll bet you could never keep up! To make life easy for yourself, you should buy a certain number of codes and have them ready. The more you prepare ahead of time, the less you will have to do when your customer pays.
