Do Interactive Droid apps iOS?
Apple doesn't really talk about their mobile strategy, but the indications are that they want to get apps out as soon as possible.
This means that they will be pushing for more and more interactive apps those that use code and a full-blown API to create rich experiences. This is likely to mean that apps for iOS will move away from being simply a container for a static UI towards a full experience that integrates code and data within the app itself. If you have an iOS app that currently uses an interactive UIView on top of your underlying business logic, then this can now change. In the new world, apps will need to use an interactive controller to drive the interface and logic. This will be built around services like GraphQL, API Kit, REST, etc.
At present, no one is really talking about how these frameworks can interact with apps, but it is a question that is starting to gain momentum. In fact, it is getting such interest that at the WWDC 2026 Apple announced that they will be releasing their own JavaScript framework codenamed RAC for developers to access the services built in to apps. Of course, Apple could be taking a page from its own past, where it used Rambler to build its CocoaTouch framework for developers, before making it open source in 2026. However, it is not just about Apple, as Google have just announced they too will be building their own javascript framework. We would argue that building a rich JavaScript framework for accessing services has now become essential for any app developer, whether for iOS or Android. Let's take a look at the various options and what's happening on each platform: 1) Swift. If you are currently using Swift to create apps for iOS, then you are already benefiting from the work that Apple has done on their programming language. What's new? If you were working with Xcode 7, then you were probably using a standard iOS app template. However, it is now possible to use Xcode 8 and move directly to an interactive experience.
As you would expect, Xcode 8 is built using Swift 3.0 and the iOS app template uses all the latest features of Swift.
Is the Sphero BB8 app discontinued?
I can't find it on the App Store
If the Sphero BB8 app is discontinued, then where can I find it?
I can't seem to find it on the App Store. I can download the Sphero BB8 app just fine from the App Store, but when I click on the icon, it tells me that "Sphero has been removed from the App Store". The only way I've been able to get the app back is to delete it from my iPhone and download it again.
Has the Sphero BB8 app been discontinued? I can't find it on the App Store. I've had the same issue with the Sphero app, i've tried clearing my device data, rebooting and restarting the phone, but the Sphero app will still not work. So you cannot use the Sphero with your iPhone anymore? Did you have to do anything special to allow the Sphero to work in the first place? I was able to get the Sphero app to work by deleting the Sphero app, rebooting, then downloading the Sphero app again. Yes, I did have to do anything special to get the Sphero app to work.
