I tried getting Disney Plus on it (not a great choice of movies but I didn't know what else to choose) and the error code 'Unknown error' kept coming up on the screen. I have followed all instructions from Philips and I can't find any other way to download Disney Plus without paying for an extra 5 a month. Can anyone help?

Hi, thanks for posting here. Can you confirm which type of TV this is? Is it a "Philips smart TV" or "smart tv"? In a "smart tv" you are able to download content from a variety of sources. These sources may be via apps, or online from your account. This may mean that you are able to use any of the services that are available to you.

However in a "Philips smart tv" they do not allow you to download from any sources other than their own. It is also likely that you would need to pay for an additional service.

This is only my guess, but if you purchased this TV when it was released, then you should still be able to get it working. However, if it is one of the new TVs that have been released since this service was added, then it is not possible to get Disney plus as a "Download".

The "download" function is still available, but it is only offered to you by paying an additional 5 per month for Disney plus. You can try contacting the service provider (Philips) and see what they can do for you.
