Why is my DNS AdGuard not working?

My DNS AdGuard is not working as expected.

At home it worked perfectly, all DNS were filtered, in both countries and when working around the world. It worked almost everywhere with some exceptions, but I cannot remember what those exceptions were.

I did some testing in different countries (US, Germany, Poland). I had all of these countries filtered, except for US. Why? Here I have two questions:

Is there a way to find out what is the issue of one's country/city? Why the DNS AdGuard filters so much on the internet, even though only one country was filtered? The issue was due to Google Dns servers.

I see nothing in the preferences window that indicates AdGuard is running.

There should be an AdGuard icon in the lower right-hand corner. If you don't see it, it means AdGuard is not running. You should launch AdGuard and make sure it runs properly to stop errors like this.

When launching Google Play Store from AdGuard for the first time, an AdGuard icon should appear in your Notification area, next to the apps it has filtered so far. If an AdGuard icon isn't there for some reason, you might have disabled its notification in Settings > Apps, Notifications > All apps. Open the Play Store app, launch it and toggle off the settings so that AdGuard is able to notify you.
