Is Aloha a safe browser?

Aloha is one of the first browsers that is entirely based on Web Standards.

For many years we've maintained "Standards based" Web Apps, not so much the traditional client-server browsers - Aloha is a step in the right direction! What is Aloha's web standards support? The Aloha Browser supports HTML 5, CSS 2, MathML 2.0, SVG, and other current web standards for browser interaction. For more information see:

How does Aloha compare to Firefox? I think there are too many technical differences to compare Aloha to Firefox. The reason I write about Aloha for developers is that it shows how some of these tools do NOT work together at all (the "sister projects"). In fact there is nothing like a Firefox developer would understand to work with Aloha. Aloha is an operating system and Firefox is an application that has to fit in.

Do I have to install Aloha? Aloha is an Operating System like Linux, FreeBSD or OpenSolaris. Aloha runs as an application on Windows like any other application. Just launch Aloha or the Browser Window for Aloha. You have all the same options for working with your documents or surfing the Web. To download the Aloha Browser go here:

Will I lose features by using the Aloha Browser? The Browser Window for Aloha should be the standard way people work with documents because it supports the vast majority of the current Web Standards. However, you are also always free to launch Aloha as an operating system like Linux or FreeBSD so you can try to install extensions that would not work correctly. But don't worry; no matter what, once you open a document, make a click and type your text in Aloha, it will be stored using either WebDAV or HTML5 local storage (no files). Once the session ends or you exit the Browser, your data is safely stored by the operating system where it belongs.

So when you open a document in the Aloha Browser, just like with most Web-based applications it behaves just like Microsoft Office or LibreOffice.

What browser is like Aloha browser?

I am using Aloha browser from alohabrowser.

Com and I want to know if Aloha browser is different in any way from Mozilla Firefox or Chrome? What it is like? Is it like Safari? I have not had any experience with Aloha browser, but since I am interested in knowing how it is like, I think it would be helpful for me if you could answer my question. It's like Safari, just doesn't look like it (but can't speak for the layout). It uses gecko/xul as a base, which is the same as mozilla, so the experience should be very similar. I would think, though, that Aloha would have more control over what gets drawn on the screen, so it might look different (or have some features removed).

Thanks. Paul. The major differences are in the look and feel and overall feel of the UI. Aloha uses a widget-style approach to the user interface, and this is quite different from the standard tab-based "browser" style we are used to with other browsers. Because it is a widget-based approach, there is less freedom to customize the look and feel as we do in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera, etc. However, when I was using Aloha, it has a really nice look and feel to it, especially if you like widgets.
