Is Last Stop Larrimah a documentary?
The first question I had when watching this video was why has this not been made into a documentary?
It is my understanding that last stop Larrimah was a real life story of an Aboriginal man who was jailed for a crime he didn't commit and spent his entire sentence in the jail and all of his time incarcerated, which was almost 5 years, in the segregation unit of the prison. To me, it would have been more interesting if they made a documentary about this story and what he went through in there rather than just filming him walking around with an interview in the background. I mean I understand that a lot of Aboriginal people don't want to be filmed while they are talking but this is an Australian Aboriginal man in an Australian prison and he should be talking about how hard it was being in a prison cell day in and day out and not about the fact that he is walking around the yard with an interview in the background. It was also very hard to listen to the audio on this video because of the quality of the audio so I couldn't really make out what he was saying but I think it was a bit like "Ain't no justice".
