Does anyone know how long a Franklin T10 hotspot lasts? I have been buying these since they first came out. I have owned them for at least 3 years. In other words, how many uses can I expect from this device?

If it runs out of power I carry around the AC power bank with me and let my cell phone use that battery to get me through the day The life of the battery in a Franklin T10 seems to depend entirely on how hard you are using it. It was my case, I would use it very heavy when doing my taxes and light when reading at bedtime. I even turned it off most days when using it for other things (eg texting or using the web). I would always charge it up when using it and it never felt depleted to me. I would estimate it ran around 6 months or more, until I switched to an iPhone. At about that time, the phone became so much lighter that I had to use the Franklin when working out so I could actually carry it with me everywhere I went. Now I would still use the T10 to transfer data when using the phone as a phone, but now use a separate phone to communicate.

I don't use them as wifi hotspots, just for charging and tethering for those rare times that my cell phone doesn't come with me. And I've used them over the years. Probably three or four years. Maybe a little longer than that. They never failed me.

They should last 4 years. I use mine everyday and have not had a battery issue. They work perfectly with the most recent OS. If you run in to any issues just call the support team they have great customer service.

Is the Franklin T10 hotspot unlimited?

I was reading an article on the net about the Franklin T10 hotspot with unlimited data use and it says, There are two ways to use the mobile hotspot service.

The first method is unlimited if you have a valid subscription on an active phone line." Is this true for all models of the hotspot like my model I am trying to see before buying this product . I am not sure where I can find what I need.

For a device which uses sim only, you can get it at a lower price by going to Amazon, if you're eligible for their free 2 day shipping deal. They have 2 versions available at the moment. The older one uses a GSM chip.

The more recent one uses cdma. I'm using this now in Germany, and I couldn't agree more that Verizon does absolutely nothing when it comes to tethering. I've only been able to do it for a day (for one of my phones) and every time I've tried doing it again it's automatically turned off.

On a non-US carrier, it should be even worse because there are two competing CDMA carriers. But I get full bars, unlimited talk, and my data usage costs as much as everyone else's, but no text messages go through.

I'd recommend using Skype VOIP to transfer those phone calls instead. Thanks, you helped me a lot. NOTE: If you didn't get a separate SIM card, you might want to add the data to your old SIM. I don't know if the new SIM will be able to access the account data that you had from your old SIM card, but you can always try.

I just got a t10s and I was wondering if anybody else has the hotspot working?I installed it and it says in the settings tab that I have no data and unlimited data when I connected my phone to the hotspot, and when I connect my laptop directly it says unlimited data?Is this a joke? Do I need to reset the hotspot? I got an unlimited data only plan. Is it possible to use hotspot on a phone without having a contract? I understand that since I got it I won't get any message.
