Why does my mobile hotspot say connected but no internet?
I have been using my mobile hotspot for some time now and it seems to work fine.
I can use it to surf the web and download files from the internet. However, when I try to browse the web or check my email, my mobile hotspot says connected but no internet. Is this normal? It is a Samsung Galaxy SII. Thanks for your help.
This is normal behaviour and is not a problem. If you want to use your data connection in your device you will need to disconnect from the network you are currently using. You can do this by either switching off your device or setting it to use the mobile network as the default for outgoing connections. This will disconnect you from the network you are currently on but will also put you back onto the internet when you re-connect.
When I connect my mobile hotspot to my iPad, it's supposed to be connected to my wireless router, so I shouldn't be connected to the internet. But I am connected to the internet when I connect my phone to my wireless router, ? Are you sure that your IP address for your phone and/or hotspot is not on the same subnet as your wireless router's IP address?
Why does my Franklin hotspot say no internet connection?
I have a USB-powered Franklin 802.
11n wireless hotspot (WMP6) which I bought because my phone and laptop can't seem to stay connected to my wireless network for more than a minute or so. I'm on a wireless connection at home (802.11n) and it's working fine, but when I use the Franklin at home, it says I have no connection to the internet even though my phone and laptop are connected and working fine. I've tried rebooting and changing the configuration settings, and the only option that seems to help is selecting "Enable wireless" under the Network & Internet settings, which sets it up so that my phone is in wireless mode (which it is) but my laptop is still connected through ethernet (which it isn't).
I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks! That's odd. Have you tried a different wireless card, or a different usb wireless adapter? ?11n wireless hotspot (WMP6) which I bought because my phone and laptop can't seem to stay connected to my wireless network for more than a minute or so. I am having this exact same issue right now on my xiaomi mi3. I have tried 2 usb wireless adapters and neither work. I am using the one you linked to, and it was working fine last night. I have rebooted, restarted the computer, rebooted again, etc. I tried the usb option you posted as well, but it did not work. I am running windows 7. I have already updated drivers for my ralink rt2870.
How to fix Franklin T9 hotspot?
There's no doubt that the T9 hotspot is one of the best features of the Franklin i3 range.
But I'm finding it very difficult to get it to stop losing the signal when connected to a WiFi network, either mobile or wired.
The i3 range is the cheapest one with T9 and it seems to be the only one with the hotspot feature available as a firmware update. The problem seems to be that the firmware in the hotspot part seems to "get confused" by any other device connecting to it. The result is that the signal is broken off whenever there's a connection attempted or already made on the hotspot part of the i3.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about: I've noticed that it's especially bad when connecting to a WiFi network using the default "WPA/WPA2 Personal" security (which is selected by default in most routers). When this happens, the hotspot signal completely breaks and all attempts to connect to it give "Network Lost" message and the screen goes blank. Sometimes, even after the "Network Lost" message is displayed, the attempt to connect is still unsuccessful. After turning off the T9 hotspot and turning it on again (so that the i3 connects to it again) the "Network Lost" message is never displayed again.
The only way I can fix it is to reboot the i3 and then it works fine. Unfortunately, it always needs to be rebooted after that. I found this annoying, especially because I'm in the middle of an experiment where the PC can't be turned off and restarted very often. Is it possible to fix it without rebooting the i3 each time?
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Cheers. Tried the links, but no joy. I do have an i3-5200U that shows no sign of any sort of networking or hot spot settings in any of the guides listed, and therefore my problems are likely not related to hardware problems - unless my i3 should also be a "no hotspot" i3, too.
Sorry about the late reply, but I've been busy. I got your messages and I'll be sure to contact you when I have more time.
