How do I reset apps on my Philips TV?
If you're like me, your entertainment system needs a clean and a good dose of springtime.
I just put it on its back, cleaned all the dust from its innards and gave it a good scrub. It was ready for the new season.
And that's exactly what this little device does too. It's a Philips TV and it's got a smart touch (which we'll look at in a minute) and an internet browser (which we'll look at a bit later). But first, I need to tell you about the way to do what I just did. You have a bunch of apps on your TV. All right, we've got a whole bunch of apps on our TV. Some of them are used for watching TV shows. Some of them are used for accessing the internet and some of them are used for finding stuff on the web, which is handy if you're watching a video and you want to share it.
There are a whole bunch of apps. So how do you get them off? Well, there are a few ways: You can choose them all to be deleted and then you can reboot the TV or. You can clear the storage space so they'll take up less space, which is what I just did. Or you could just delete the app. But that would be quite a bit more effort. And not very clever of you, if you ask me.
So what is the trick to getting rid of a bunch of apps at once? If you want to do it properly, you need to reboot the TV, which means shutting it down and starting it up again. Or just clear the storage space. Which can be achieved by going into Settings, then Apps.
Here's a screenshot of my Apps. It's packed with apps. And I was very proud of myself for doing that thing that I just did. I'd been wondering when I'd try that again. But I had no idea how it would go.
Because I hadn't rebooted it for some time and I didn't know if any of the apps would start when I turned it on.
