How do I activate Amazon Prime as a student?

Is it true that Amazon Prime is free for college students?

Amazon Prime, a service that gives members free two-day shipping and free access to movies and TV shows, is only available to people who are over the age of 18.

That's pretty obvious, but what about college students? Do they get a discount on Amazon Prime? According to the Amazon website, Amazon Prime for students is an option for those enrolled in a college or university and between the ages of 18 and 26. "Offer available to students in the US," the site says. So I asked Amazon.

"For students in the U. But that doesn't mean it's actually free, because I didn't need a credit card to sign up, so it didn't cost me anything. But I did need to fill out a survey about what I like to shop for and whether I use Amazon Prime for anything.

I got an email back from Amazon saying I qualified for the free service. It doesn't take long for the free trial to expire, though.

But I didn't have to pay for the following month, either. I don't know if the service is always free or if I'm just a lucky student.

This also doesn't seem to be a good deal for students, since it's only free for a month. "If you're not a student, you can choose from hundreds of free music and entertainment apps like Amazon Music, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, and HBO NOW, as well as free unlimited photo storage in the Amazon Cloud Drive with Prime Photos," the Amazon website says.

Alternatively, you may want to create a new account for each school book or magazine store to help make it easier to find your books on the site.

Students in Australia must sign up to the Marketplace through a university account - there's no online option available. Students from other parts of the world should sign up for your university's Marketplace library here.

They usually include an email address used for ordering purposes. If you haven't received an email confirming that your account has been set up, please refer to our guide for further assistance.

How do I change my Amazon Prime to student?

I have to say that I've never had any issues with the service itself.

My problem is with Amazon and their customer service. I am a frequent customer, and always buy from Amazon when I can, however, every time I have had issues with some of their services or products I have received responses that would make an 80 year old crack addict proud.

One of my last orders was something they called a Fulfilled Prime (frequently as a part of the "Prime" service, not a separate thing) and there was some issue and one rep claimed it was a part of Amazon Fulfilled Prime (a service offered by Amazon) despite having no idea what I was talking about. Another rep did eventually figure it out and gave me back my purchase; the third rep seemed confused and the fourth was simply unaware and couldn't help. A few weeks later I received some sort of notice that the item had shipped with tracking; I never got any email about it, so at the time I thought they had forgotten. Well today I went into my account and found an email where they wanted to track it again as it had apparently been shipped!

The third issue I received was an error on my Kindle. A few days after ordering it and the Kindle was sent, I received a warning email saying that it was defective, but that they would send out a replacement (I was under the impression I only needed to return it if the actual device malfunctioned). The actual device had just started working for the day so I thought nothing more of it, however last week the replacement arrived. That was two pieces of equipment so far that were "defective" although the first two were sent the same day the items were bought." Is this normal?
