Does CyberGhost VPN work on Mac?
CyberGhost's VPN solution works on Mac devices but is it worth buying?
That depends on how you use the product. The reason I'm asking is that when I first looked at CyberGhost, I was drawn to their Mac OS X client. It was a pretty feature packed package with a slick interface.
The problem is that I never actually tested the software on my own machine. So I'm going to take a look at the product and see what it has to offer. I'll be using a MacBook Pro Retina display with an Intel i7 processor and 16GB of RAM. I'll be running macOS High Sierra on the machine and using the latest CyberGhost software version.
If you're wondering if you can get CyberGhost for Mac or Windows, you can. There are also versions for Android and iOS.
About CyberGhost. CyberGhost is one of the leading VPN providers in the world. They've got about 40 million users around the globe and their software is available in a number of different platforms including Mac, Windows, Android, iOS, and even BlackBerry.
What makes CyberGhost stand out from the rest is their suite of products. They offer the ability to create anonymous proxy, which allows you to use the internet as if you're somewhere else. This can be useful for people who use their Mac or PC at work but don't want to make it too obvious.
One of the other features that I think will be of interest to people is that CyberGhost uses its own private search engine. When you search on the CyberGhost browser, the results come from their servers, not Google or Bing. This means you can be more confident in the information you're getting.
As for the performance of the software, I'm looking forward to checking it out and seeing how the Mac version stacks up to its Windows and Android counterparts. Getting the app. When you open CyberGhost, you'll see a couple of areas. The first is the Connect menu which will take you to your account settings. From there, you can access the CyberGhost app, which can be used to manage your VPN connection.
The app is fairly easy to use and it provides you with a bunch of great features.
Why is my CyberGhost not opening?
We recently moved house and installed a new WiFi router.
I noticed CyberGhost wasn't working correctly (it was downloading the program and then it just sat there). I didn't realize it but the router I had was on its last legs. So, to replace it, I got a new one. The new one works fine, and the CyberGhost works fine too. But now I am having a small problem. If I open the program, I can connect (and usually it connects and starts downloading and setting up) but a few minutes later it seems to completely freeze and the download bar stops moving. The 'Status' window also shows the program as 'Connecting' and this message: Unable to connect to Internet. Please check your connection and restart your computer. It's really annoying. Is this happening because the WiFi is not working? Or what could be wrong?
Comments. Hi! Sorry about that - we updated our software last week (to version 2.53.10.0) so we might have fixed this problem. However, you can always use the browser version of CyberGhost - it's just as fast as the program. We haven't changed the speed though.
Hello guys! My girlfriend just bought a new router and is having a problem with her CyberGhost antivirus. After install it does work, but if I stop using it, I have to uninstall it every time. When I stop using the program, the browser doesn't do anything. If I restart my computer, the problem seems to be solved, but if I don't restart it for some reason, the browser never opens. I've tried installing the latest version of CyberGhost (with the .exe), but I still have the same problem. Is there any fix for this?
When I start a session, I get an error message The server couldn't complete the request. And I can only do 2 things - Close and restart the program. I don't think it's a matter of security. I've tried the browser version of CyberGhost, but it's the same. It worked before I reinstalled the program and it seems to be doing the same thing. What should I do?
Is CyberGhost having issues?
Hello.
I bought CyberGhost and downloaded it onto my Windows 8.1 laptop, but when I try to install it, it gives me the following error:
"This program can't be installed to your computer because it is already installed on your computer. To uninstall this program, please click Cancel, and then click OK. Then I got the message, "CyberGhost was not correctly installed. Clicking OK will attempt to reinstall CyberGhost." It did, and then I got the same error message again.
It says that it can't be installed because it is already installed on my computer. But I can't seem to uninstall it either, and I don't know why. It's been doing this for a few days now. Any help would be appreciated!
I have the exact same issue, which is why I posted this question. I downloaded the installer, but when I clicked on the install button it went to a black screen with a white CyberGhost logo on it. I tried to use the uninstall button on the control panel, but it failed.
I did a virus scan, but the only thing it found was a false positive. I tried the uninstaller from the cyberghost website, but it doesn't work either. When I start the uninstaller, it asks me if I want to restart my computer, and I press Yes. But when I get back to the uninstaller, it says "This program can't be uninstalled because it is already installed on your computer. To uninstall this program, please click Cancel, and then click OK."
Why is my VPN not opening on Mac?
I've recently changed to using my Mac as a primary device after being an iOS only device for some time.
I've been setting up my new computer, getting acquainted with the different software that Apple and other developers have put out, and setting up the various components of my Mac. One of the things that I found the most frustrating was the VPN functionality of my Mac. I followed a quick tutorial to get it set up, but no matter what I do it just will not open when I'm connected to my VPN. I have tried restarting the computer many times, restarting my router, resetting my network settings, deleting the entire .local/Library/Preferences/ and .config/ folder in my home directory, and even trying out the instructions found on the website. I also tried the same procedure on my iPhone, iPad, and computer on another network, and it works flawlessly.
I am running OS X 10.9.4 on a Mac Mini, with a USB keyboard and mouse attached.
I installed the pptp client (it's on the Mac App Store) and then followed the simple tutorial that came with it. There's nothing more to it than running the installation application, letting it check for the client software updates, and clicking "Start" once it's complete. It works fine with the tutorial instructions in place of my real network information. After clicking "Stop" when it's done, it connects me to my VPN without issue. I am able to connect to my company network just fine.
My question is: What more do I have to do to get my VPN working on my Mac?
