Why have I been blocked from Discord Cloudflare?
This article explains how I learned about the identity of two of the biggest trolls who are destroying our communities.
It is about what I know and what you can learn from it, not about what I want to say or argue. However, there is some bias because there are a few people who want to do the right thing. They don't always succeed. And I don't like to be used as a poster boy or girl on any side.
I think that if you start a project which you are interested in, and you get really enthusiastic about it, then you will be able to deal with trolls as well as people who are there only for the fun. We have to work harder to achieve the objectives we want. But I also think that there is always going to be people who enjoy being abusive and destructive. My advice is that you need to try not to let it get to you personally. We all need to share the responsibility for the success or failure of the project, but it is important to set our own standards and boundaries in how we react.
First, let's quickly take a look at Discord, who are the company behind Cloudflare. Cloudflare is an American website hosting company, who provide services that can improve the security of websites. Discord is a platform where you can download games. This means that it exists as an independent entity that can be hosted on servers outside of the United States. I can host my software on my home PC for free.
The reason I use Cloudflare is that they provide CDN (Content Delivery Network), which are services that optimise the delivery of data that the user is accessing from servers outside of the United States. There are many ways to make it harder for your service to be used by an outsider. These include DNS (Domain Name System) and IP addresses. The combination of a CDN and DNS allows the traffic to be directed from a service like Cloudflare, to a local server with a more suitable content, that is not subject to censorship.
Cloudflare has been at the forefront of developing tools that are effective in their blocking of malicious activity. In addition, Cloudflare has a team dedicated to dealing with DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks. These are attempts by others to prevent legitimate users from accessing your website.
How do I fix Cloudflare Discord error?
I'm having an issue with Discord.
I'm getting a Cloudflare error when trying to log into the Discord app. I have a custom domain that I use for my email, website, and other sites. I have Cloudflare set up on my custom domain and it works fine for everything except Discord. I've tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari), and none work. I've tried changing my DNS settings, I've even tried different IP addresses on the Cloudflare dashboard. When I go to the Discord website, I get the error. Here is the screenshot:
You have a typo in the url. It should be: And not: I'm guessing you copied and pasted the url in, but that is not the correct url.
Is Discord protected by Cloudflare?
How to detect whether the website is protected from DDoS attacks
The following video describes how to find out if the website is protected from DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks. The video shows in real time: The IP address that triggers a DDoS attack against the website. Cloudflare, a Content Delivery Network (CDN). The domain name the CDN protects. DNS server used by the CDN. In the beginning of the video, you will have to type in manually the IP addresses and ports used for an attack or attack detection. Click here to run your test in this video: Watch the video, then answer all the questions at the end of the video. Q1 What is the domain name the IP addresses are coming from? Q2 Can I stop an IP address from being redirected to the main page of the website? Q3 Which subdomain is blocked? Q4 Which IP addresses can be redirected to the main page of the website? Q5 Which domain name can I use to determine which subdomains are blocked? Q6 Which domain name is being hosted by Cloudflare? After watching the video: A1 For question 1 we can say that the domain name is bing.com because this is the domain name used in the video, A2 Question 2 is about finding out whether the main page of a website is protected from an attack or not. An attacker is using the subdomain attack.msn.
An answer to this question is no. A3 The subdomain that is being blocked is .com because the web server sends a 404 error code.
A4 For question 4 we can make a guess that an attacker is sending requests to the subdomains asmx.com, and not to the main domain of the website. These subdomains could be used to hide the real IP addresses of the attacker.
This means that we cannot find out all the IP addresses of the attacker. The only way to do that is to use an online scanner.
A5 For question 5 a domain name of interest is cname.microsoftonline. Microsoft has set this domain name as a top-level domain name.
Why am I getting blocked by Cloudflare?
I'm new to this, so I apologize in advance if I get something wrong here.
We have a bunch of domains at a domain registrar (GoDaddy, not sure the brand). We have no control over how our DNS record is done on these registrar's end (they don't host the DNS of the domains), so all I can do is go there and add/edit the records. I tried to add a NS record for our domains there (I don't know what a NS record is), but when I click on "add new", it won't let me. All I can see are "A" and "CNAME" entries. I also can't seem to find the NS records there either, even when searching for them. I then went to the cloudflare DNS and added a new record. I then pasted the NS records from the other registrar (including the ones that are missing) into the Cloudflare DNS and tried to add a new record for our domain, but again, all I could find were A and CNAMEs.
Cloudflare says that my domains are hosted somewhere else. I did everything by myself, so I did not have a dedicated registrar on Cloudflare, I just used their DNS. I also already asked our domain registrar's technical support (who also works for Cloudflare) and he was still clueless.
The thing is, I can still access our domain from anywhere except from Cloudflare's DNS (even though I don't have any control over it) and that's a big issue for me because it means we're not able to be reachable from certain countries. If you need more information about my setup (the domain, the IPs, the cloudflare servers, etc.) just ask. If not, please tell me what else I could have done to avoid getting blocked by Cloudflare.
Thank you. Edit: Here's an example of my Cloudflare DNS. You've managed to add an NS record for your domain which is correct, however it's pointed at a Cloudflare server, not your own registrar. You need to either edit your existing Cloudflare DNS settings to remove this record or alternatively create a CNAME record for each domain on your own registrar pointing to the IP addresses of the Cloudflare servers.
