(Or: How do I contact the mod team for support?)
Well, if your Steam profile name on Discord is some sort of a throwaway code that doesn't match up with an email address, you're stuck in between two worlds, because there isn't any official path to get back into your account if you want to. Even when Discord sends out warnings on login attempts to recover your account, they don't give your Steam name to go byyou have to prove who you are by producing an email (which can often be a difficult process).
I want to take this opportunity to help out a few other people who might be in my shoes, as well. I've had it happen a few times with clients in particular, where after helping someone out on a few things, you get caught up in the whole process and feel a little less inclined to come back to work for them afterward. And in one case in particular, a former client didn't have a way to easily let me know if the person they sent something to had worked out or not, so a little bit of time wasted while waiting for those notifications. So I thought I'd put together a quick and easy tutorial with instructions to get everything sorted out.

If you want to try it out for yourself, here's how I've done it: Create a username on Discord. Create a Discord bot if you want to automatically send messages to your user. Download an instance of from . (There are other clients as well, but this is the one I use.)
Download all the files that go with the download, and open them in Notepad. (Re)Install Caffeine, and open it up. Find the config.json file and open it.
In the "discordconfig" object, add "username" to the fields that should be filled in, as well as "botchannel" and "botcommand". Replace the "#"s with "%23"s, if they aren't already.
Add "#!bin/sh" to the botcommand field, and "#!curl -s" to the botcommand field. This makes the bot execute the commands that follow after it in the botcommand field.
Add a botcommand field with "#!getcmd" and "#!setcmd" in it, with no quotes around the commands. Save the config.env file that came with the download.
Open Terminal, and navigate to the location of the Discord bot you've installed. You can do this by using Finder and navigating to /usr/local/bin.
Replace the .env file in that directory with the one you downloaded.
Try running the bot from the command line by typing `discord`.
