How do I turn off SafeSearch when it is locked on?

Recently on this forum a lot of people were complaining that "SafeSearch" was always locked on.

Apparently some settings were changed on ICS in an attempt to fix the problems with SafeSearch that ICS had. It hasn't helped however and so they were still getting the old "SafeSearch is On" dialog whenever they searched for something. After more investigation into what was actually causing this problem, we found that it has nothing to do with the settings at all, but that it's a bug in Samsung's browser.

It seems like a pretty straightforward fix to disable it automatically if it's locked, but that doesn't appear to be possible. I've searched through all of the various settings and options in Samsung's browser and it doesn't look like there's any setting for it. Samsung apparently uses the new tab system on ICS (), so the only settings you have there are all of the tabs you have currently open. The browser only remembers which tab you opened it on, so opening a new tab won't change the setting for SafeSearch from the last tab that you used it on. The only way I could find to disable SafeSearch was going into the browser's menus, but that isn't the cleanest way to go about it. Does anyone know of a way to lock out SafeSearch on an individual basis?

1 answer. 1 accepted. It's a very simple fix! :). There's a setting on the main menu for that. You can toggle the setting off or on. My phone is now completely safe (it's also great for finding your phone when you don't have it). ?

Why is SafeSearch locked by device?

I'm making a webapp that is compatible with all sorts of devices and I need SafeSearch to be locked.

. . As you can see, there is a hidden input element in the page with the wmode="transparent" attribute. The thing is when I lock SafeSearch and it's enabled the SafeSearch locks the video in all devices. Is there any way I can block SafeSearch to lock the video while maintaining it for other devices?

On chrome (and other modern browsers): The safest way to get your video to be uncensored by Google would be to use Flash. The flash plugin works on all major operating systems and most devices. You can find the plugin here:
(I know there are ways to do this using javascript but I don't think this is secure enough. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong).

However you won't be able to use any sort of javascript to control the video (to turn off or change filters etc. Also be aware that Flash has some security concerns that you should be aware of. Another alternative is to use Video.js. A lot of companies are including this plugin in their video scripts.

One good video I found with this plugin is: As long as you use HTML5 and it's the H264 version then it should work pretty well. This plugin provides an easy way to add filters, etc to any video.

How to set up a custom home screen for all your apps on Android. If you're tired of tapping through your app drawer to launch your favorite apps, you can turn your home screen into a full-on launcher. You can either load a stock app or you can build your own with third-party launchers. The best part? You don't have to install any app to make it happen.

Google Play Services is a mandatory preinstalled app on Android devices that serves as a backend for things like Google Search, Google Play Music, Google Maps, and more. If you want to add more functionality to your phone, you may want to add the Google Play Services app to your home screen. You can easily add it to the home screen by dragging it from the app drawer.

If you want to use the stock launcher, you'll have to add the Google Play Services app to your home screen. Open the app drawer, find the Google Play Services app, and drag it to the home screen. Double-click the Google Play Services icon to open it. To add an app shortcut to the home screen, tap Add Shortcut. Navigate to your home screen and tap the plus icon at the bottom of the screen. Locate the app you want to add, and tap it. To remove an app shortcut from the home screen, tap the trash icon. If you don't want to use the stock launcher, you can still add apps to the home screen. You can choose which app icons to add to your home screen by tapping the gear icon in the top right corner of your home screen and selecting Apps. You can also add shortcuts to individual pages of apps.

To add a shortcut to the home screen, tap the plus icon in the bottom left corner of your home screen. Locate the app you want to add and tap it. You can now customize the way the app displays on your home screen. For example, you can add app shortcuts to a category, sort them alphabetically, or pin them to the top of your home screen.

Why has SafeSearch suddenly turned on?

One of the most surprising features of the Android system is that it has an "underrated" privacy mode, and a "feature" list.

And now SafeSearch suddenly appears on the search page, but it only appears if you're using Google's Play Services. If you don't use Google services you can turn off the feature in the Settings page.

SafeSearch isn't actually a feature of the operating system. It was first introduced on Android in late 2026 as part of Google's attempt to make a major revision to its privacy policy. The idea was to automatically filter out the "adult" results from any web search. At first glance, this could seem like a good thing. You'd be searching for something very specific, so the unwanted results should be limited in number. But then Google went too far with this change.

There are three parts to the SafeSearch feature. First, Google will remove any search results with the following two tags: and . These tags are to make sure that anything is displayed as bold text. A good example is that, if I search for "dining and drinking", I would expect to see restaurants and other businesses that offer these services appear on the results page. If SafeSearch is turned on, the name and phone number won't be seen, and the business name will be displayed instead. The name and phone number can be viewed by disabling SafeSearch, and the phone number is still visible in the normal web search results.

The second part to SafeSearch is the "G rated" option. This is an "ad blocker" for images. An image is deemed "admissible" when the text says "ads have been excluded by SafeSearch." If this is turned on, the text will say that ads are excluded by SafeSearch.

Finally, there's the SafeSearch settings. SafeSearch is supposed to prevent any sexual content. The settings allow the user to exclude anything that is sexually oriented. However, this is also a filter that will remove any results that contain the words "teen," "teenager," "young" and "underage." This is supposed to stop minors from browsing the web, but this was an attempt to hide adult videos. This setting can be ignored.
