Is the NETGEAR C6250 compatible with Spectrum?

I am using the C6250 and the WAN port on Spectrum, but I cannot receive DHCP from my ISP.

It seems to be working fine when I am using the modem plugged directly into my laptop, but when I set the C6250 to use WAN port it doesn't work. Is it possible that the C6250 is not compatible with the Spectrum? What should I do to solve this problem?

I think you are confusing "WAN Port" with LAN Port, these are 2 different ports on the router. I'm pretty sure you are setting up your routers LAN to be 192.168.x.

Try resetting your router and set it to 255.0 if you are using a static IP address for you network, otherwise set it back to 192.xxx
The router will then be listening on 192.

How fast is the modem C6250?

I have been asked to get a modem and C6250 is what I was told to get.

I have the PC with me and the one at the store has a little card that it is plug and play. What speed is the modem? I have looked up speeds for the modems on this site and I cant find the info.

The other thing is my husband has the modem for his PC at work and he has been getting a bit of static on the phone when he makes a call. He is not sure if it is the modem or the phone line. He is using a DLink DSL-2700U

Re: ? the modem is 100 Mb/s and the phone line is usually 64 Kb/s, you need an adapter between the two to convert it to the higher speed. The C6250 is a good choice, it's very reliable. The C6250 has a built in ethernet port, which makes it easy to connect a network to the pc and share files and folders.

Is that a 10/1000 MB/s? If so, I'd be interested in buying it. I've got the c6250 right now, and its a great product, but my next modem should be able to do 10/1000 MB/s.
