One thing I've found in general with most people who make their living by designing is that they seem to want to work alone. There are tons of people out there wanting free graphics for every possible purpose, but for some reason, designers are not interested in working with others. They would rather do everything themselves. This can lead to problems when you've got 5 projects at a time that all need the same file formats. I've seen many a design project where it is literally one person taking care of the entire project from start to finish.

So it seems natural that it would better to get the assistance from as many different designers as you can. The main difference here from the other forums you've visited may be that we are looking for quality work and not necessarily quantity. If you have a solid portfolio of your work already, why wait? Now you can start building a reputation.

With that, I've created a group called the "Forum Members". In this group, you'll be able to talk to fellow designers, share their works and even ask questions without being bombarded with useless posts about other design threads. I'll be monitoring this group frequently so I won't be surprised if you can't even get two replies.

Anyways, that's the reason for me to create this group - to get other people into the design game. We'll be talking about our work soon enough.

To answer a question that may have been lingering in your mind, there are many people who find it difficult to work with others. As long as you have a decent portfolio, we'll be more than happy to give you a shot.

The first website you will build is going to be a personal one or a very simple one for yourself if you have not worked with website design before. If you are building for a business you will need to pick a theme that suits your business model. And I would suggest looking at other businesses that do the same type of business and what their website looks like. They may have a logo that you can use as inspiration.
