How do I download movies from Flixster?

To download a movie on Flixster, the first step is to view it and then click the orange Download button.

A menu of download options will appear for you to select from. You can select one of the following download options:

Download as MP4: We recommend that you download a file in the MPEG-4 codec. This is a format that most streaming sites and websites, such as YouTube, can play for free.

Download as WEB-DL: There are some rare movies that are only available in this format. We are currently supporting this option on VUDU Movies, Vimeo, and iTunes.

Download as AAC: If your favorite device does not support Web-DL or MP4, we suggest selecting this option for your media format. If you choose to download a movie, you will be directed to our downloads page where you will find the link to your movie. If you chose one of the formats that are not currently supported, the "Download to" option will not appear, but the "Download" option will. Just choose this option and you will be on your way.

Flixster does not provide a download file manager. Instead, you are automatically given the option to download it from the website. In addition, you can upload files on Flixster, such as videos you've taken with your phone, pictures, and links from social networks.

How do I find movies on Flixster? A quick search will show you thousands of movies. Movies in your Favorite List will appear when you click on your user icon. Other searches will come up with suggestions based on your search terms. If you can't find what you are looking for, we encourage you to upload a movie by clicking Upload on Flixster.

Do you accept tips for good movies? You can give your support to good movies by sharing a link with your friends and posting about them on social media. Flixster will be able to verify the legitimacy of the movies you post.

Can you make suggestions? Flixster provides helpful content curators who can make helpful suggestions. They look at the number of views a movie has and if it's a movie with a lot of views, they may suggest other movies that could have been made as well. We love their suggestions, but sometimes we get requests that are completely impossible to make suggestions for.
