Thanks. Scott. 03-14-2011, 03:16 PM. AirTv. I am very sorry you have made this post but in fairness to Mr McAfee, I didn't see any option for me and I couldn't find one either. We have tried to answer your question on the previous posts about your issue and on this post, but no one has been able to respond and there are some other people posting with the same problem.

We've even checked out McAfee's technical support people by sending them your email address. Unfortunately our email is not yet active, which means that we don't have anyone logged in. We're trying to keep the service online at all costs but if we ever do close then we'll let you know.

Thanks again for the inquiry about using this service, and please do pass on the suggestion that others are receiving help. If it's any help, I can confirm that we can connect using the mobile phone in the USA (which we used in a test before the launch), so this may suggest that there's some issues only for the UK (ie where your customer is located). If the US connection is successful (and, frankly, most of the others who have contacted us are in the US) we suspect the problem is with an IP address blocking it. This means that we may need to set up a number of servers to access customers all over the world. If you live outside of the UK (and the US appears to be working) then we will send you a free account - if you want one.

How do I talk to a real person at Sling TV?

It's no secret that I love Amazon Instant Video.

I loved it before it was even named that, and I love it today as well as ever. I still have it connected on my Roku, so it's a no-brainer to check it out. And if you are a cord cutter, who doesn't like the idea of having movies and shows on demand, easily in one central place?

What I'm not a big fan of is Sling TV. What happens when you run out of something? Are they going to say, sorry your not welcome here? That's exactly what I experienced just two weeks into their service. I'm a cheap ass with free stuff to give, plus I was really excited and wanted to know if they had made any mistakes. So off I went to sign up on their website.

A few problems right away that I noticed. When you sign up for Sling TV, they ask you which four channels you want to subscribe to: Sling Blue, Sling Orange, Sling Blue Kids, and Sling Blue Sports. But there is no information on why there would be a need for Sling Blue Kids or Sling Blue Sports? You can pick either or but not both. If you opt to go with all four channels, you are left with some questions about the type of device they provide. Sling has the option of only subscribing to either the Sling Blue or the Sling Orange depending on whether your connected to your home with cable or not. But to get both services I need to subscribe to them separately. There isn't even an option to add it to a bundle of services, so what type of television or streaming device do you need to use for Sling Blue and Orange? It all needs to be the same device. Sling Orange requires access to a DVR that has to be connected via USB 3.0, which means no access to Ethernet.

Once you select the subscriptions you want and purchase, Sling sends you an email stating that we have sent you an invitation to watch our beta service.
