What exactly is Sling TV cancellation? In the United States and most of the countries across the world, Sling TV is a monthly streaming service that offers sports, news and entertainment channels in one package. There are various channels including ESPN and Disney, Fox News, CNN, HGTV, AMC, ESPN2, TBS, TNT, Cheddar, SyFy, Science Channel, and more. However, a user can get access to other channels as well.
Is Sling TV a perfect streaming service for you? In case, you do not like some of the things or channels included in the service, then there is no harm in cancelling it. If you have subscribed to Sling TV for more than 90 days, then you cannot cancel your subscription and get a refund. In addition, if you do not fulfill your commitments, you will not receive a refund from Sling TV. However, your membership will be terminated after you miss any of the scheduled broadcasts within 60 days of your subscription. Also, if you pay for Sling TV using a credit or debit card, then you must inform the company within 4 days. There is currently a problem with the Sling API on our servers.
We are actively working on getting it back up and running, but in the meantime, if you cannot access Sling Media Player at all, it is possible that the issue is affecting your access to other parts of Sling, such as the Sling Store.
What is the issue? The Sling API serves as a common language for clients, servers and the media player. It includes a number of services and events that enable access to the player. However, there have been some problems with our server, which has resulted in a partial outage. This is impacting our ability to serve API calls and other clients and is preventing us from processing data properly. This means that we are unable to deliver player functions or provide the Sling API with current data. We are currently working to correct the issue and will inform you once we have done so.
What should I do? If you are unable to access the player at all or Sling Media Player throws a 503 error when you try to access the services, you will be unable to use the Sling Media Player. If you are still able to reach other parts of Sling, including the Sling Store, this is because Sling Media Player is not connected to the API, but other parts of Sling are functioning correctly.
What does this mean for me? If you can't use the Sling Media Player, the following functions will not work. The Playlist: Playlists can only be played using the Sling Media Player. Once a playlist is played, the player needs to be opened so that the content is stored to the cache. To open the player, click the menu icon in the top right hand corner of the player and select "Open Player". You may also use "Open" in the address bar to directly open the player.
Shared Playlists: Shared playlists can be used from another player. The shared playlist can be viewed from the Sling Media Player, but cannot be played directly from the Sling Media Player.
Custom URLs: Players are not able to be accessed via custom URL settings.
