How do I stop Twitter from opening links in my browser?
In Safari,
If I click on a twitter URL for my favorite author or blog, it loads a page.
with the source and all the formatting for twitter to render. How can I stop it from doing that? ------. Petercooper. In Firefox 9.07.91:
When you hit space when on some page (in the history or whatever) then your. Browser is likely to suggest new pages to open. Not this one.
Hitting enter will always do a new search for "Google" on the current. Domain. I've also noticed that using F8 while on a wikipedia search doesn't result in a. Wiki entry being opened, and it's the only instance I've found so far. This is a huge bug that's been plaguing my brain since I started working with Linux.
Why can't i open links on Twitter app?
I have no problems opening links on the web, but on my iPhone the twitter app won't open any links, even if I have them open in Safari first. Is there a setting I am missing or something else? When I click on a link from twitter, it opens in safari and then closes. If I click on it again in safari it opens. I have tried rebooting but this didn't help. Any suggestions?
In safari you can set links to open in a new tab, if that's what you want. If you do it from safari, the twitter app won't open the link. You can do it from twitter too, just tap on the link from twitter. I think it's something with your twitter app.
I thought so too, but I couldn't find any setting for this. The link is open in safari but when I hit open again it closes. The same happens if I tap on it from twitter too. The link opens, then closes. I have tried to reboot, clean the cache and data. Still no luck. Any ideas?
On the web I can set links to open in a new tab, if that's what you want. In twitter on my iPhone, the links opens in safari and then closes. But in the twitter app, the link opens but doesn't open any other app or anything.
I've been trying to set up my new Twitter account (I was getting an error message from the sign up page and thought it was a problem on my end). I've tried logging out of the Twitter app on my phone and signing in with my phone number instead of the Twitter login, but when I go to the settings page and tap on the link to log in with my phone number, I get a message saying "Sorry, something went wrong".
So I was trying to log in with my phone number and I'm not able to even get to the sign-up page, so I don't think I can log in with my phone number. Is there any way to access the settings of the Twitter app? Like I said, I've tried logging in with my phone number, but I can't even get to the settings page. I tried restarting my phone and it's still not working.
Why do links open in Safari and not in-app?
I want to open some links in an in-app browser, and so far that seems to be working fine.
However, I've noticed a strange problem: If you go to (this is the normal URL), it opens fine. But if you go to (the URL I need it to open in the browser) it opens fine. However if you go to (just a normal URL - as long as the link has "index" somewhere in it, it'll open in the browser), it opens in the App. I don't have any special settings for Safari or anything like that. Is there a way around this? Thanks! If the only thing you're doing differently is setting the href of the link to "link-goes-here", then you should be able to just add a meta tag to the head of your page to make it work. . If you're also doing things like styling and layout, then this would be the wrong approach. Instead, have a different page for each of those URLs, and set that page to be the home page.
I found the answer. It was all one big misunderstanding on my part.
If you use the following meta tag, it will open the link in the in-app browser.
