Does sasanqua camellia need full sun?

Asked for Plant Answers.

Hello I have a sasanqua camellia and I was wondering if it needs full sun or if it can do with a little bit of shade. It is very healthy and seems to be thriving. My mom says it does not need full sun but I am just wondering. Thanks.

ANSWER Hi.e. Sasanqua is an indoor plant. It needs direct sunlight to grow.

Beware, it will grow very fast, especially in large containers. Be sure to have a good root system.

Beware, it has no problem growing from cuttings. Be sure to water at least 2 times a week.

I hope this helps you. Sincerely. A member of the PLANT QUESTION & ANSWER BOARD. Plant in full sun. By: Anonymous. April 30, 2024. 4 Answers from the Community. Select Answer: 1

Hi there. Sasanqua Camellia should be happy in full sun. It is one of the most popular garden plants. This plant will grow well in full sun to light shade.

You should have no problem keeping this plant healthy. The new growth is almost always red.

Have you checked the name on your plant? If not, I would get another plant. It is so nice that you are caring for the plant and it seems to be thriving. By: Rufus. May 2, 2024. 1 Answer from the Community.
