Why can't I turn off SafeSearch on Google?

Every time I get to the homepage of Google, it looks like the search engine automatically turned the SafeSearch mode on (the blue square with the line across). I'm running Android version 6.0 and the only browser I use is Google Chrome (latest version). How can I prevent this?

My searches show that some searches are in fact safe, such as "my wife". However, "my name" turns up adult-oriented (it did in Firefox). Other searches that seem to turn SafeSearch on (for me) are: "how to quit" (it didn't in Firefox) and "how to make an egg".

When I'm on the home page of Google, the top bar is also in blue (even when I have no search terms). The most frequently used websites are also shown in blue (and other colors too, of course).

If my SafeSearch on is activated, I can see two red lines at the top of the browser page. So your problem is that a lot of porn keywords are present in your search queries. The search engine doesn't automatically disable Safe Search for adult terms like porn or sex, which means they're automatically blocked for everyone using Safe Search (regardless of the presence of the blue logo in the top bar).
