What movies are being released this weekend?
Check out our complete guide below to find out everything you need to know!
This weekend is another big one for movie buffs, with a host of big-budget flicks hitting theaters. In addition to that, there are also two new comedy hits on the slate: The Lego Movie 2 and Last Christmas. The former is sure to do great business, but the latter will have to be careful to avoid comparisons to A Christmas Carol and ensure it stands on its own two feet.
With all that in mind, here are the top 10 films to look forward to this weekend: Paddington 2 (Limited). What It's About: After accidentally breaking his best friend's leg, a young bear named Paddington sets off on a journey to find a doctor who can repair it. Why It's Worth Seeing: This is the second sequel in the Paddington series, which means we'll finally get to see what happens after the original film, Paddington. That should make for a very interesting conclusion to this film.
Why You Should See It: You might remember the first film as the story of a street-smart, lovable orphaned bear who goes on a quest to find a lost letter that reveals he is a member of the wealthy Brown family. The bear stumbles into a whole mess of trouble as he tries to find his family. While the plot wasn't particularly original, the film was just plain fun, and it was a big hit back in 2024. So you should check it out if you enjoyed the first one.
The Meg (Limited). What It's About: A fisherman becomes obsessed with the legend of a giant shark that lives in the deep sea. Why It's Worth Seeing: Director Jon Turteltaub has created a monster in this film, and the trailer shows it.
