Are there any kids movies on Hulu?

Does Amazon Prime have kids shows?

Amazon Prime has just announced a number of kids shows for the fall and you can add to the list.

I have always found Amazon very helpful with finding the older kids cartoons, such as Thundercats or the original Space Ghost, but so far they haven't seemed to have any decent children's shows that would be worth paying for on the subscription. This announcement is kind of disappointing considering the huge amount of entertainment that comes from streaming shows for adults, and I'm a bit surprised they haven't put out more kids shows yet.

I personally find it hard to be impressed with the programming on the main section of Amazon Prime, mainly because the movies aren't anything to write home about, and they definitely don't try to hide it. They have a very old fashioned look to them, but it has been my experience that if you are in the market to get all of the movies/shows you would find on Netflix, then you might as well watch them all on Prime.

That said, it's still nice to see a little bit of extra programming with the kid's content. Maybe I am asking too much at this point, but could they be using the same staff that the regular streaming services do? For instance, the movies are listed under a name like the "Amazon Studios", but the kids shows are listed under a name like "Amazon Kids". That really leaves you to guess if these shows are made by the studios that make the movies, and if not, what type of show they are. It would be a huge waste of effort to start a kids show that was made by a different studio than the movies that you release.

Amazon definitely has a lot of money at their disposal, so I am sure they can afford to hire people that know how to do things like put together shows for kids, but maybe there are enough older kids that stream Amazon Prime that there is no need to start making more kids shows right now. They might be waiting to see what the success of the new shows will be and if the shows will be good enough to warrant the time spent putting them together. We shall see.

Amazon has already launched a lot of kids shows in the past, such as Tiny Planets, Sushi Pack, and many more. It's just that the shows weren't as popular as the ones that Netflix currently has, but hopefully that will change in the near future.

Is The Little Mermaid on Amazon Prime?

I was doing some research this morning, just trying to decide if I wanted to read The Little Mermaid (the animated Disney version) and it turns out that you can! It is available for Amazon Prime members in their U.S. Library (see the image at the top of this post). I haven't actually ordered it yet (as I still don't have a kindle), but it has been recommended by a number of people so I think it is worth checking out.

If you don't have a Prime account, there is still a chance that it will be available for purchase soon. Also, as I mentioned in the earlier post, this version does not feature the voice of Jodi Benson. They changed the way they were doing the voices around the time that the movie came out, and Ms. Benson was not in the mood for more revisions.

UPDATE: It seems that the Amazon Prime membership is not enough to let you download the movies (although Amazon did tell me that I could do it), so this might be the wrong option for you. This article says that you have to be a member for two weeks in order to get it.

The animated Disney version is also available for Amazon prime members in their library, and I believe that you can even download them from there. I haven't seen the film, but I've heard good things about it.

I think that I would have to look at the price of the Kindle e-books if I were interested in reading them. A while ago, they offered them in the same price as the hardcopy books, and I did buy some of them, but I haven't checked prices lately.

It is definitely worth checking out. And as someone else mentioned, it is much cheaper than buying the movie separately.

You can also rent it on Amazon Video, and it is available for free with Amazon Prime. That is what I ended up doing because I'd read that it was available for download for free, and it was cheaper than going to see the movie.

When I first tried to download it from Amazon, it said that I couldn't do it because my library did not have a copy. I'm not sure why it didn't, because I'd done an Amazon Kindle search for it and it was available.

QUESTION What is a good movie to watch on a Sunday night for a young boy (age 10) and his older brother (age 14)? ANSWER Hi I am looking for a suggestion to watch with my 10 year old son and my 14 year old boy. My son is animal lover (he plays with his dog every day and loves his pets very much), my boys have always been together as they are twins, they love sports and play together, so far we love the movie Happy Feet. That was our last movie. We also loved the movie Home (2011). Would you recommend either one? Thanks!

ANSWER Hi I watched Home and my husband said its really good. My 10 year old nephew can not stay awake to watch a movie with his aunt. I can see this movie being really funny. Is there anything else out there we can watch and still be on the right side of the law? I feel like I need to steer clear of anything bad when I do get to see it with them. Thanks for all your help!

ANSWER Hi, thanks for your question. I would say we both got an idea from the kids we saw Home. After watching the first movie with my two, I suggested The Lorax. And now it's another family favorite. If you have any other suggestions, please share!

ANSWER Hi my 13 year old son and I like movies from a young age such as Home, Up, Horton, and Toy Story. We love the animated movies.
